Pfff, val net pas weer binnen, cam deed het vanmiddag niet, begrijp nu dus waarom ... nu maar hopen dat dit veulen het gaat redden. Baasjes doen er in ieder geval alles aan
Hi all. Quick update and beg for prayers. Roz is doing wonderful, seriously the bestest Mom in the world! The Rozette - well here is the readers digest version. Thank heavens Kim called and I got out there before the water broke. She went down, pushed and then a sight that strikes fear into most breeders. Red bulge, not a sac. Thankfully Roz stayed down and I was able to tear through the placenta and get the filly out. She was not responsive. I have my foal resuscitator and was able to clear some fluid and then get some air moving. She is a very slow little one. The vet gave IV DMSO, antibiotics and she was tubed with colostrum. She is starting to gain some control finally. She was a pretty floppy fish earlier. No worries if you see her scooting around. She needs to do this. She is getting stronger and able to get sternal by herself. She acts like she is going to try to stand but her back legs are not strong enough just yet. UC Davis has been contacted and the consensus is that we give her 2 hours to see if she improves. She is already looking better so hopefully this little fighter can get over this hump. Typical girl - she foaled with luggage, she had a few spare parts that were at one time twin that had mummified into something pretty bizarre. I will update in a little bit. Thanks for all of the prayers. Genevieve & Roz
