We're home from the vet. She's clean now. She has a little tear and has been treated for that. She'll be on a course of antibiotics for awhile, but otherwise everything is cool! We can now just sit back and enjoy the baby! Yay!!!
Update Dirty & Classy: Dirty Lady had a sorrel overo filly! Dirty Lady foaled just after noon, 2+ weeks early (due 3/10) This maiden mare was only partly bagged and never waxed, but was a bit restless the night before.
Classy is almost completely bagged, very soft around the tail, swollen under the tail. She could go any time!
Update Snickers: THESE UPDATES SEEM TO BE REREPETITIOUS. THE ONLY CHANGE TONIGHT WAS HER TEMPERATURE WAS 99.7 RATHER THAN 99.8. THAT DOESN'T GIVE YOU MUCH HOPE FOR A DELIVERY. SHE IS RELAXED AND ENJOYS BEING OUTSIDE DURING THE DAY. BUT AT 4:00PM SHE HEADS TO THE GATE. THESE HORSES MUST HAVE A DINNER BELL. laugh.gif
EACH DAY I THINK SURLEY THERE WILL BE A CHANGE. BUT SO FAR SHE IS PRETTY STEADY. MAYBE SHE WILL SURPRISE US. IS THAT WISHFUL THINKING?
Update Dixie: here is no change in her milk strips and I tested her twice today. The fluid had thickened up so much more today that I redid it tonight. Still the green dot in 5! Her bag just is not right ot me yet though. I need to write to Becky who I think it was saying her mare's bags weren't right and they were ready everywhere else. Two of them have already foaled so it would be interesting to see what the bags did that last day.
Update Eclips: EClips-- well, she has been doing some emphatic butt squishing on the walls today. Udder hasn't changed much since yesterday and I can't express any liquid from it yet. 8 more days to her latest possible 340 date. I think she's waiting for Gram!
