TEA - @ Starlight Ranch - OVERDUE 351 Tea's activity is increasing, she is not relaxed at all. She is not spending much time eating, in her favorite corner or laying down. Lets hope this continues as maybe that trailer ride helped get them thinking about it.
Addi ...holding steady @ Comfert Shetlands 336 days Thanks Laurie Well, no change with miss Addi. Who knows when or IF she will ever foal!!!
Peaches ate all her yummy medicine with her feed, so she is good to go for tonight. Udder is still the same as it was this am, and still lots of fluid.
Other than that, not much going on, unfortunately, with Addi. I am starting to really wish she would get this show on the road!
SOMEONE needs to foal somewhere! I am having withdrawls!!!!
Barlnk Tuff Miss Due Jan 18th @ TwinAcres Ranch So far she is just staying about the same. Guess I need to put a note in her stall to remind her that she was due a couple days ago!!! lol
Her teats have filled in some, but we have not had much change in her milk color. I might test her tonight - if she decides to give me enough to test. I have decided that she is waiting for Mark to get home and fix our cams! I am so tired of looking at lines ..... Ugh, I am sorry to all you trying to help us STARE..... And more rain tonight means..... they might get even worse again.... grrrrr http://www.marestare.com/fcam.php?alias=twinacres
Abby (1/28/10) @ Whistleville Farms Okay-she was laying down when I got there-her whooha is bulginig outward-nothingcoming out of it-the boob that was pressed against her leg had milk running out of it down across the leg. the other teat was dry. He whooha is a dark red inside http://www.marestare.com/cam.php?alias=whistleville
Nieuwe merrie: Ella Riva @ FieldsQH due 2/9/10 OK, here's the evening Ella report:
Her udder has DOUBLED in size since yesterday. She's coming along quite nicely. We will expect her to wax based upon last years foaling but I believe she is in the final stages of gestation to be sure!
MaryPat, I will have to leave her head gate open tomorrow so that she can look down the aisleway- thanks for the tip! Some of the mares can be quite a problem when they hang their heads out but I'll trust that Ms Ella will be her usual angel self.
Lainey, Of course we had to have her join our farm- a little birdy told me she was special!
So, eyes in the sky, ladies- I think Ella is coming right along.
Good morning everyone, the end is in sight!! Lol, we can hope can't we,
But Tea since around 8:00 last night has been pacing more and more. She is also eating in short periods and was not attacking her feed this morning at all, kept going to the back wall to stand.
She also is starting to build a large amount of wax on both teats, it builds and drops off but this was building when I was out feeding this morning.
I will be working from home today. Kris and Savanna also arrive this evening, I think they are hoping Tea waits until they arrive. But as I told them she seems to have her own schedule going on.
But can definately see the end in sight, she just is not able to find a comfortable spot and doing a lot more pacing than she has been. Her poo is also very soft also a good sign.
Tom has a footing pour this morning but should be home by noon as the truck has to be off of the county road by 11:00 am. But I do have back up to help me if she goes earlier.
Have a great day everyone, we are so ready to see this foal.
This is our Moonie a bay 2000 Arabian she is a wonderful experienced mom and will be 340 days 2/3/10. Past foalings have occurred on day 335 and 332. Moonie has started bagging now and has become a loner when turned out in the herd.
