Eydis ook? Wie nog meer? (voorgaande jaren hadden we een belboom voor de merries van marije en faniek)
De update van Sissy klinkt goed, die zal wel komen zo te lezen!
About Lila schreef:Lila is our Regional Top Five Mare in western pleasure who I have spent countless hours with. You will notice this when I sit indian style in her stall and rub her legs. we are very tight. She came home from region three with laminitis and five months pregnant with her first. (In foal to Jake Jamaal JCA). We have been working on getting her right, but it just seems to keep going a different direction. 3 weeks ago she blew out her left coronary band with a huge abcess and was diagnosed with a medial sinker. We used maggots to clean out all the dead tissue which seemed to work really well, but as you all can see, moving is really hard for her and because she moves so little, everything else works a whole lot less well for her. I am anticipating getting this baby on the ground, 200 pounds less for her, some more attention from her body on her foot and hopefully happy baby hormones to make her think her foot is hurting less than it is. Oh yeah, maybe she will she'll feel like chasing her kid around too. I know it is painful to watch.....even more painful to live with day to day. Laying down for her is good! It helps her to take care of her feet.
I appreciate your support, respect and attention to detail. I am sure others have had to deal with very complicated foaling issues and we certainly feel like this is a high risk pregnancy.
Marty, Valley Oaks schreef:Well Marty wasn't due until Feb 4th but has yellow, sticky wax today and her bag is full. She looks as though she will foal tonight, but she has fooled us in the past. She will be on the camera the majority of the night, but we also have Shirley getting close so please stick with us if we change the camera a couple times tonight between the 2 mares.
Shirley, Valley Oaks schreef:Hi All,
Our marestare is going to be down for the next 30 - 60 minutes. We are in the process of hooking up another camera. It will still only show 1 mare at a time, but we will have the ability to switch between mares.
Shirley will most likely not be on camera much tonight. Although she is looking close our mare Marty has waxed, long yellow, sticky wax and looks as though she may foal. So Marty will be on camera tonight, with Shirley ocassionaly.

Tyvm... Just remember she is sneaky! She did not show REAL labor signs until about 15 mins before she had her last one.. So watch out I'm guessing if not tonight, tomorow

Thankyou to all watching
I'm not sure what was up with her extreme bout of uncomfyness earlier - but I have to say the ay she is sleeping it will most likely not be tonight. Darn mares will get you every time. I do believe we are getting close though, with all of the outward signs she is showing.. I just hope it is soon. But I think if she were to have the foal she would not be lying down this early.. or sleeping LOL... So... awww.. I'm dissapointed now but I guess it has to come out some time.
Ella and Tess, Fields Quarter Horses schreef:We have moved our foaling operation to the smaller/warmer barn next to my house this year sooo, I'm sleeping just about 150 feet from the mares now. I can be in the stall within minutes from a phone call. Also, Amber lives in an apartment on site as well so we are both very close to the "action"!
For the person who thought Tess would go a few days ago- so did we. Vet seems to think that she has postponed her labor at least twice now. She can't do that for too much longer so eagle eyes, please!
Edited to add: the mares both have elongated relaxed gaping vulvas tonight. Tess has more color (darker red) than Ella's but both are now reddish (not pink)!
