Ditto (1/19 or 2/28) & Cat (2/4)@ J Bar S Ranch - Updated bag pics 1/16 morning update - Cat is extremely full - little drop of wax on one teat again. She is totally full all the way into her teats - she just has big cones now - no definition at all. She really didn't want to go out today, but I'm not ready to leave her in all day. I have someone here that will check them a few times for me today while I'm at work. She is experienced with foaling out mares also. Ditto has also made a lot of progress overnight. Her bag is bigger and her milk has started moving into her teats also and they are pointing more downward now. I am going back to work today - but will have my laptop with me to check in on them and if I don't see them on cam - I will call my friend to check them for me. I do expect to see Cat and Ditto laying down a few times today. Cat is pretty close - but I think Ditto still has a few days.
TEA - @ Starlight Ranch - OVERDUE 349 Well still no baby, but she is still elongated, is pinker inside, milk is has not completely dropped even though she is leaking some onto her legs. It is very sticky but not yet thick and completely white. She is getting more and more uncomfortable which is hard to believe because she has been uncomfortable for days.
We are on day 11 of her being over due!! I have sent an email to my vet asking his oppinion of if we might need to get her checked. But have a feeling she is taking so long is because the foal just is not in the right spot yet.
While out feeding she was licking her lips a lot, yawning and kicking at her belly. That tail is like a wipe at times,
Tom will be leaving for work around 7:00 and I will be leaving as soon as I get cleaned up and ready to go. If her activing increases a lot I will be heading right back home. But thought maybe just maybe if we change the routine she will get down to business. I will be a half hour away and Tom less, if we need to head back.
Thanks so much everyone for all the extra eyes, we know Tea has been a bit frustrating to watch for many as she gives so many signs this is it and then slows everything down and says nope not ready. Have a great day, will update if there are changes. http://www.marestare.com/fcam.php?alias=starlight

Addi ...holding steady @ Comfert Shetlands 335 days Lots of trouble this am, cam is giving trouble and then found that Peaches who is due around the first of April (330 days) has an UDDER with lots of opac colored liquid. MUCH too early. I will be checking my notes again on her last breeding dates and also calling the vet. I have a bad feeling she has placentits and is going to abort/foal too soon, unless I have some dates wrong that is..... I will be busting my hiney to try and get the 2nd cam up and going AND FAST. I dont know what the heck happened to the cam, lots of problems with it and the signal. will keep trying, sorry it is so bad to watch, I cant stand it!
TEA - Till waiting @ Starlight Ranch - OVERDUE 351, Morning Update Good Morning All..! I just had a quick IM from Leila that her Veterinarian would like to take a peek at Tea and see where she is at. So, the plan is for Leila to leave work, drive home & pick up Tea & haul her down to the Vet's for a checkup. Maybe the trailer ride will shake it out of her
For those of you that don't know; Leila works for the University & from her office she can see the Vet school there at the University. Much easier for her to haul a horse to the Vet than it is for the Vet to travel out to their barn in Garfield, WA.
So, no cause for alarm, but just a quick checkup for Tea. I'm sure Leila will update here later.

Sandy @ T & J Farms due 1/17 - krijgt altijd drielingen Ok Sandy is back, for now, lol! We lost power early this am, but they have it back on for now. Will be going to work today, so if there are any power surges, the cam might go off again. Sandy seems to be really uncomfortable, but still no change in her vulva. I'm guessing its just because her belly is so wide. Thanks for watching, let me know if anything seems different with her! http://www.marestare.com/fcam.php?alias=tandjfarm

Update Tea
Hello everyone well this was definately how I had planned my day. But last night sent an update to our vets who have also been watching her online. Dr. Tibary was is Missouri over the weekend and thought for sure she was going to foal Sunday night. With the changes and discharge we have been seeing and no foal they just wanted to make sure foal was fine and in the right position and that Tea was doing good.
When we had Tea checked early December as she was not showing heavy in foal she had gained 200 lbs since bred and was 1560 lbs. Today went on the scale and she is 1630 lbs so gained another 70 lbs and they are still surprised how well she is carrying her foal.
The did a good check of Tea and she is in good health. Her cervix has some softening to do, but her hip muscles are really soft, she has color change in back and some elongation but not as much as Tom and I have seen at times. Her bag is not huge but they already new this, but there is wax that builds and drops off and dried milk on Tea's legs. She has some edema as well.
The foal has good movement, they measure it's eye and compaired to size in December and has grown a lot right where it should be so no worries there. Then shaved Tea's belly just a little bit to check the heart beat which was strong but has not yet slowed as it will right before foaling. But is in the right position to make the final turn when ready.
So basically the waiting continues!! Tea's pain tolerence is low so when she is close to foaling we will probably all know. As her activity will be more than what we have been seeing.
Tea is all washed up, tail cleaned and braided. So it is just up to Tea's foal and Tea of when this will happen.
