Splash of Orange is up next and looks like she wants to go early.
She had some complications this morning with vaginal bleeding. She does have wax and has started dripping small amounts of milk. The vet was out and she is considered high risk.
For those watching please look for any signs of foaling and call ASAP. Mare can not be unattended when foaling.

I think Layla is still gearing up for this afternoon or tonight....her vulva is still relaxing more. Now it is clouding up so I think our rain is coming in early...things are going to get real noisy when everyone comes into the barn.

Todays update......This morning when I was kneeling to put Goldie's halter on and I was giving her the morning once over, the most interesting thing happened; the foal must have started to turn because about mid flank her body got pushed way out, and stayed that way for several seconds. Took me completely by surprise.
So lets please keep up the night watch, and do not by afraid to call if need be.

ASIA (due 04/20) waxed last night so she is on watch - hopefully she goes soon.
Hanoverian in foal to Capitaan (BWP stallion) should be a grey foal (hoping for a COLT!!)

Ivy is showing signs of going a bit early. She was pasture bred, so she could actually be right on. She has had one foal previously. Time for another filly!!!!!

I have another nice girl to add. She is testing 3 squares tonight. She is a black appaloosa bred to a Boones Little Buckaroo son. She is 33.25" tall. These girls are really starting to get me hopping!!!!

I was so sure she would go last night - even though she wasn't dripping - all the other signs were there. But then she seemed calm every time I woke up so I decided to get some sleep (an hour or two at the time). She still wasn't dripping this morning. We are having rain so I left her up today. So - what happens if the baby is too big for her to deliver???God wouldn't do that would he??? I watched the Elements video and she had to pull that baby out. He was a big guy too. I sure don't want to be away from her if I need to help her. Please call me if you see anything unusual. We can leave work and get home at a drop of a hat.

wow!! an hour ago her woo haa was kind puffy and dark pink.... now looks like a saggy, swollen eggplant!! She has stopped eating and is pooping a lot. I think we are getting ready to go!!! Steph is about 2 hours from home... should be right on time. Zoe is warm to the touch and has been rubbing and rolling. Dani and I are in the house letting her relax....
I'll do another milk test around 9pm. I'm sure it will be positive like the last 2! Her milk does seem a little more white. I'm not going to work... Steph should be home by 11pm. So maybe we're ready for launch!!

Well, Anna is still FAT this morning. It started storming here last night and umm its still storming...
Its suppose to storm all day today too.
She will be inside today so we can keep a close eye on her.
She is more then ready to have this little monster Child.
