MOKA at the KRUGER RANCH - DUE Jan 23 - Today is Day #341
Just a quick update on Moka.
She is getting more uncomfortable & has periods of restlessness.
At this point, I think she is slightly ahead of our Lady mare in the foaling race.
I will leave our cam broadcast in the quad view until I think she needs our total attention.

Full Moon coming up soon, so who knows

TEA - @ Starlight Ranch - OVERDUE 349, Morning Update
Well Tom and I are starting to get a bit worried. Everyday she waits that foal is just that much larger. We are getting no sleep and both have to work today. Only good thing I have enought I can do from home so will not be far from Tea. Tom on the other hand needs to setup another pour so he will be gone for the day.

Tea is the same that she has been for the past two nights, her activity continues to increase and enough other signes that we are very hesitant to leave the ranch. Was scarry enough yesterday when we did for a couple hours.

I will be calling the vet today to ask a few questions, but I know they like the mares to do this on there own so the waiting will continue. Sorry guys we want to see this foal as much as you do because for us has been a two year wait after she had a tumor removed and one ovary two years ago.

Our goal is a very healthy and happy mare and foal!!

TEA - Really it has to come out @ Starlight Ranch - OVERDUE 349
Nipples are down, she continues to build and drop wax, muscles are looser. Tea is showing signs but not strong but she hasn't showed any strong as of yet other than being very uncomfortable. Poop is very loose and she has increased the amount she is drinking the past two days. Wish we had more to report with her like dripping milk but at the moment nope.

Hi all! she is definately more active than usual. Udder is the same, well, everything is the same except she is definately off pattern, she is usually SNOOZING at this time. I am seeing a good bit of weight shifting as well. I am still up for now...

TEA - A lot of drainage @ Starlight Ranch - OVERDUE 350
Good morning everyone and thank you so much to those who were watching our girl last night. Tom slept so good he did not hear his alarm and neither did I and was almost late for work so he went out of hear so fast not sure his shoes were tied.

I got some sleep but just not restfull sleep. You know us mom's always seem to have a keen sense of what might happen and brain doesn't shut down.

Tea is just plain mad, even grouchy when bringing her hay this morning. So did not check her much other then a quick peak. I think she is ready for the baby to be out.

Good note she is attacking her food this morning which she has not done in days. She has been just picking at it and not much else.

Tom is doing a pour today and could be late, But no worries I will have my back-up on the phone if needed Debbie & Harold Kruger.

With most mares I would get excited but with Tea who knows as she is showing nothing as I have seen in our other girls. But at the 6:00 check more wax and what looked like a milk droplet. But since she is so grouch I only peaked did not check for sure.

So the waiting continues, thank so much for all the eyes. We sure can feel the love for our girl all over the world

Abby is out for a while with the other mares. She had some yellow colostrum when I milked her yesterday. It is still very thin but at least its yellow. The belly has a very big V in it and her bag continues to fill. Today is day 330

It is after 1am here, I have not gone for a late night check, fell asleep on the couch watching her on the tv and Claire (my 3 year old )woke up screaming that she had peed the bed for the 2nd night in a row and that is what woke me up. She is coming down with a pretty bad cold/sick.
I havent been watching Addi

as of earlier, teats are still filling in though and there was progress there. still edema even after being out. thats about it. Not going to be tonight, or shouldnt be.
started raining about 10pm and is still raining.
prob will go out, looks like she has made amess of the stall. she has not set the alarm off since earlier today, which is definately off pattern.
I will post if there is a change, after my check. Sorry all for the not very good update! Looks like I am slacking!!!

The vet was at the farm to examine Haley and it was determined that she could foal as soon as tomorrow or as late as two weeks from now. Since Haley did not produce enough milk for the test strips which would give a more accurate due date, we will just have to remain patient as we eagerly monitor her on MareStare."

Striker (1/18), Unforgettable (2/1), Ace (2/1), Wishy (2/16) @ Mulligans Run
Updates on the girls, I will be short and sweet as I am ready for bed.
Everyone's bags are a little bigger, we are finally getting some drops of milk from Unforgettable but her bag is still not full. Wishy and Ace are pulling up the rear and both starting to get small bags but they both have a ways to go.

Striker is the most changed, I checked her when I got home and according to Darci her bag was not that big and tight when they feed earlier at 4:30 so her bag is finally getting tight, but still no milk. She is very uncomfortable and she is sweating but that is hard to tell if it is just from the warmer weather and her having a winter coat on or if it is caused by impending labor....we will see.

I will take pictures of her bag in the morning so until then, everyone have a great night, and happy staring!

Evening update... Cat is extremely loose and long - no wax or milk though. Ditto is definitly uncomfortable, but I think it is more of she is hot than going into labor. She may just fool me - but she isn't real loose or long, nor is she all jello butt yet. She still has a little more to get in her bag. She is a maiden though - so who knows! We were very warm today - almost 70 and then we had the storms move thru which had it muggy for a bit. The wind is blowing from the north out there now, so it will cool down over the next few hours. Also - Cat has a window open on her stall, but Ditto's is boarded up, so I can't open it right now. I have one barn door totally closed and the back one, that faces our place, open half way. This allows the breeze to go thru, but Ditto's stall is still probably warmer than the rest. I will be doing checks every hour on them overnight - but do not hesitate to call me if you think I need to check on either of them.

I have put numbers up in the stalls. Cat is in #1 and Ditto is in #2. Thanks for all the extra eyes. Still trying to totally recoop from my flu.

Caroline (Possibly 2/14 per vet check) @ Red Dog Farm Animal Rescue
Hi everyone,

Caroline had a vet check on the 14th and is showing no signs of being close but her weight is looking absolutely great. Our vets are talking about the possibility of medicine to induce milk if she goes too much longer but for now we are hoping to simply let nature take its course. We have been doing VERY light groundwork with her to work on manners and she is doing so well. She even stood beautifully for our farrier today after not letting him touch her back feet 6 weeks ago. We are very proud of her progress! So, we continue to feed her the best of everything, work on manners and wait (somewhat)patiently to meet her foal!

Good Morning..... Things seems to be progressing. Bag is filling and she's becoming more and more restless. Poop is getting a little loose but not to cow pie stage. Her 340 due date is this saturday so maybe she will go close to on time. I will make sure to update tonight after feeding.
