Ben een blije L2 debutant....Heb lekker gereden, ze deed goed dr best. In de eerste proef wat foutjes, ze vertrok super in de middendraf, maar we gingen iets te groot dus ze viel in galop. Vond m zelf wel ok, maar kan beter. 2e proef ging echt fijn, geen fouten, lekker eraan kunnen rijden.

Gefeliciteerd zeg, dat is echt heel erg knap gedaan, mag je inderdaad van naast je schoenen lopen hoor OK dan!

Yep, she was litterally DRAGGED out of the stall.. You would think that it is the worst sort of punishment to go out and enjoy the beautiful day (another wonderful day in paradise down here). I'm off to Dothan to go to Jeffers and also Best Buy (to put up the other cam). So the cam is down while I'm gone and she is out.

Yes, that is what water torture is.

And Lilly (the lab) didn't get kicked out - she crawls under the stalls all the time and the horses are WELL used to her scrounging around eating thier poop and leftovers LOL. She will actually sleep with them sometimes. I keep thinking one of these mares will teach her a lesson around their babies but nope, they all accept her and the schnauzer.

Hope *maiden* * nieuwe cam*

Hello !
We are back for another year with Mare Stare!

We have a new mare to watch this year. Hope is a maiden mare bred to our stallion, Circle S Painted Vegas. Based on 340 days of gestation, her due date is April 19th.

She has a 1/3 full bag, has started to elongate, has little tail resistance and is getting very grouchy when I do udder checks...which is not like her at all. She normally displays a very laid back attitude.

Being a maiden mare and at 320 days today the time has come to ask fellow Mare Starers to help us keep an eye on her, especially during the overnight hours.

She will be on the outdoor camera during the day and in the #2 foaling stall at night. When she gets closer to foaling, she will be moved to the foaling barn full time. Maiden mares concern me since they are known to foal without warning. We lost a foal from a maiden mare last year and I hope we do not repeat that situation again.

I wanted to get Hope online so you can monitor her normal daily activity. If you see any abnormal behavior such as accelerated pacing, excessive pawing or rolling, etc. don't be afraid to give me a call. I would rather have a false alarm call than no call at all.

She will sleep laid out flat several times per day/night, this is normal for her.

I work M-F from 6:00 AM-3:30 PM and I am 20 minutes from home. I would appreciate a call if you think she could possibly be in labor. I will need all of the time I can to get a head start for home. I have five sets of stop lights to get through before I get to an open road, so timing is important.

I am able to monitor our cameras at work although I cannot watch them every minute. Additional people watching during the day would be appreciated.

During the daylight hours, call my cell phone 319-530-2770. Overnight hours, call the house phone 319-828-4390. My cell will be on 24/7, but the house phone is very loud and will wake us faster. Both phone numbers are on the camera page.

Perdy is due April 30th, however she foaled at 318 days in 2007. She is at 309 days today. She has a 1/3 full udder and is starting to elongate. She is pretty good about giving us imminent foaling signs. I would say she has a little ways to go, unless she makes significant changes in the next few days. She will be on cam #1 in the foaling barn overnight. Until she gets closer to foaling she will be turned out with the other broodmares (off camera) during the day.

Mulligans Ranch (Piper * low alert*,Shanza,Rowdy,Tonja)

That Haze on the cam is likely dust. The maid didn't come this week so we'll get the cam moved and wiped down before tonight.

I've noticed too that there are times when they are clear as a bell and other times they are pixilated. My cam computer is running at 100% so I'm wondering if it's that.

All the girls are in for the day because the weather is cold and rainy, and they are so close that it warrants leaving them in.

And my littlest pistol is flying all over that stall - I'm so glad she has so much energy. Poor mom has too much too and is getting cranky. I'll be glad when I can let them out......

Evening Everyone...I added some new photos taken today of Golden Peach Blonde aka Peaches and Documented Facts aka Doc to my web site.

As you will see Peaches is a scream when she is let out in the morning...I took over 400 photos of her having fun..can't wait until I can afford Cams in my front field to be switched to during the day..so you can see for your self how much fun she has daily being out side. This morning we were running late and she came right up to the stall front and stared right at me and then put her leg up on the front wall...as if to say..come on let me out of this jail now..I've got things to do today and your are holding me up woman!!!! Chop, chop...I want out!!!

Anna was pretty uncomfortable last night and was doing a lot of booty rubbing, lots of pressure there. She was pretty funny tho when she gets her tail a going. Thought we were gonna have to get a pilots license for her cause she was ready for take off. She is very loose and puffy in the hoo hoo, no resistance left in her tail, you can lift it straight up over her back now. This morning her milk is still cloudy and her temp was 97.4. I did tell her she has to wait till Tuesday. She has given me a leap year baby before and she can give me an April fools baby this year. Sam will be here on tuesday too and we have a dinner to go to which is put on by my vets office so that will be her time to do something so we have to rush home right in the middle of dinner.
I'll post again tonight after check time.
Its raining and storming here today so Anna is staying inside.

Goldie/Dudge/Doll * Close*

It is 1:30AM here and I just did a check on the girls. Doll is absolutely 100% ready - she really should foal tonight!!!!! Goldie - no change in her bag - so not sure. Fudge looks ready too but she isn't acting uncomfortable. Starbrite's bag is filling - so she could go anytime. Precious looks like her nipples are filling so she could also go soon.

I only have 3 beepers - they are on Doll, Goldie and Fudge. Please keep an eye on Starbrite and Precious (Cam 3) for me. If they are acting strange in any way - please call!!!!

Adoroble *dripping milk*

Well, TSSP has gone...sniff, sniff...and Adorable is dripping milk...are we surprised?
TSSP and I and, of course, her family, had a wonderful visit. It was loads of fun with the kids and the dogs. And her hubby and son, cold and miserable as it was, were able to go fishing out in the boat and catch some bass. Sadly, the only thing not caught was Adorable foaling!!! Anyway, stay tuned, it can't be much longer...famous last words....

Hi Everyone,

I made it to Fla and watching Hope on the cam. Really weird being on this end of the cam. I am relying on my faithful crew to deliver this foal since Hope decided to keep us up all night last night and not foal while I was still home. Any help from you guy will be great. If you see anything please let me know.

You can call the barn at 770-749-0274 and my cell at 706-766-1208. The barn would be the best place to call first. This is my crews first foaling by themselves without me. Our vets are also ready in case there is a problem.
