Ik kijk elke dag hier even,maar het is zo rustig dat ik vaak niet reageer.Maar als het weer wat spannender wordt ben ik er weer vollop bij.

Ik heb het erg druk helaas...
Maar ik ben vroeg begonnen vandaag en heb de paarden al buiten staan dus ik zal eens zoeken naar updates Lachen

Ben trouwens benieuwd hoelang het hier droog blijft, er komt een donkere lucht aan...
Ik dacht dat bij Mei lekker weer hoort??? Boos!

Update B Cute, Twinkie, Twister & Ragdoll:
She isn't pregnant and is more than willing to be bred by Bobbie's stud, Arapaho, who will be residing with us for a few weeks.

B Cute, Twinkie, Twister (with Gracie), and my maiden mare Cupie Doll (B Cute's daughter) are on cam in the front paddock for breeding. They have shelter and can get out of the rain or sun if desired.

I'll be putting Ragdoll on cam as soon as she gets a little closer to foaling. We still have a few weeks, it seems. She doesn't have much udder development yet.

I believe Tinkerbells foal has dropped. She appeared that way to me tonight. I still was unable to get any fluid from her bag. She has appeared confortable during the day. She certaintly likes to lay out..........

Tinkerbell has something going on, I have seen that foal move some. And she sure has that leg tapping tonight. She has also, been laying down alot. I don't know how long I can stay up, but I am going to try and be up for awhile. Carolyn is also going to watch for awhile. We would really like to catch this mare when she is in labor before she is ready to foal. If you see anything different or you think she is going to foal don't hestitate to call. Rather have a false alarm as to be late to the foaling.

* Voor mij is de echte spanning eraf nu onze eigen merrie's en die van Faniek een gezond veulen hebben.

* In Amerika gebeuren zo veel enge dingen bij de bevallingen dat ik daar niet echt naar kijk.

* Verder hebben we geen cams in nederland meer maar we krijgen een herkansing in juni/juli als Lisette op stal komt.

Update Gabby:
This is to let everyone know that Gabby has been taken into surgery. They are very concerned because Gabby is showing that she is in alot of pain and they don't know why. The surgery is very questionable so your prayers and good thoughts are needed now more then before. As we get more news it will be posted.

Gabby has an impaction of the stomach, they have cleaned her colon and are now closing her up. they intend to scope her and then attempt the coke wash. For those who don't know what this is..they will put coke ( the drink) up Gabbys nose thru a tube and see if the fizz will help to release this impaction. If it does not, there is nothing more they can do for her. Heather said that if it doesn't pass she will have a very difficult and painful death. PLEASE PRAY THAT THIS WORKS! The baby is doing well, and feeding off the bottle and running around. heather did take pictures and ask that we not be alarmed when viewed due to medical instruments on baby. Hart of Hope is as black as the ace of spades and as soft as silk, per Heather. Will keep you posted as I get infor. Please pray for Gabby, she is still fighting for her life and she needs us all.

Spoke with Shan, she said Gabby wanted to see her baby when she woke up.. They are giving her the coke wash tonight. Pray that this works. Please keep praying hard for Gabby and little Hope. I will update in the morning when we know more.

Good evening everyone.
I know Angie, Hope, and Mona have already filled everyone in on what is going on and I greatly appreciate your help. Gabby is in with Hope now and is doing good. Almost right after she woke up she passed a HUGE pile of poop! They are going to scope her and start with the coke wash this evening. We have checked into a hotel for the night and have ordered some dinner. Doctor Hart said that she was not going to call this evening unless it was an emergency so we will update again tomorrow.

The procedure they are doing on Gabby is called a Coke Lavarge (wash). They insert a tube in Gabby's nose and they will give her two cans of Coke. They let the Coke sit out at room temperature for approximately 10 - 15 minutes to allow the excess gas to be released. Then they will put it in Gabby's stomach. It is believed that the bubbles and the acid will break up the blockage.

This is a very new procedure, but it has been written up in the medical journals and several other large hospitals have started using this to treat this rare impaction.

As my sister Mona stated, this is the last treatment we can give to Gabby. The doctors are unable to clean out the stomach because they would have to remove the organ from the body before they opened it and they can't because it's so far up under the ribs.

They will scope Gabby tonight and then again in the morning. If the impaction is getting smaller they will continue. If it's not....we won't think about that right now.

I can't believe the outpouring of love, concern and prayers this little mare has been given. She is one heck of a fighter...one hurdle after another and she has overcome it. Let's pray that she has the strength to continue to overcome these obstacles that are put in her way.

Update Sarah, Mattie & Sunbeam:
Just did the 10pm feeding and mare check. No real changes and I feel like we are not looking at another foaling for a few days at least. The two mares on camera are Mattie on the left and the black and white on the right is Sarah.

Sarah was 325 days on May 1st. She carried 352 days last year!! I hope she won't drag it out that far this year. She has a medium size bag with lots of fluid but not testing high in colostrum yet.

Mattie, the chestnut, is the surprise mare that ultrasounded not in foal last summer and last week we noticed she was indeed in foal. based on her breeding dates and her ultrasound date she should foal the end of this month. She is beginning to bag up now.

Sunbeam is not on camera right now. She is due May 22 .

We will swap mares and cameras according to each mares progress. Stay tuned and see our last three 2005 foals born. If you are looking for a precious pet, a show prospect or breeding stock, we have some beautiful foals this year so far and some outstanding yearlings. Terms are available.

Spirit, that bag certainly isnt all that big. But quite snug and shiney......poor baby better be tall to find it!

Wren, well...big as a barn....but just not ready to give it up yet.

Pajitas.....eh, not for at least a week or two.

Honey.........nothing

Cora...very little ( could be anywhere from June 10-July 1...shes gone 340s-370s)

Rosalita...aka Tank....right on schedule for June28-July6

Asia....delivered early by over 2 weeks last year....could be a repeat.

Reba foaled this evening at around 8pm. However the foal had a very bad birth defect and could not be saved. Reba is doing ok and Im hanging in there. Thanks

she's full in teats and tight big bag and feeling a little clammy today and very crabby uncomfortable. No wax...however, from year to year that changes with her. 324 days for her today from last breeding..she's gone 321 and 323 in the last two foaling years..prior to that, her usual gestations were 333.

Roxy is more restless tonight and we thought we spied a tiny bit of wax at one point today, but she ate all her dinner. We will have her on one hour checks though, starting tonight, just in case.
