Update Eclips:
KEEP CLIPS IN YOUR SIGHT!
I just posted an udder pic from 6:30pm today. Yesterday's pic is there also. BIG CHANGES!! I CAN express fluid from her udder now. She's also gone extremely LONG & is more relaxed than she's been under the tail. (foal could about walk out the door ) As fast as she's made changes in the last 24, I will be homebound now until she foals. I do think it will be SOON. Pray for a smooth & safe delivery.
Why do they always pic the coldest days tho?

For the time being, everyone is stalled. If Clips decides to foal, we'll move the mini boys outside (warmth in numbers) and Patches over a stall. I'll also move Patches if Clips acts agitated by her before then. Those two can squeal & make quite a ruckus when they're mad at each other!

Als het gaat dooien, krijg je zo'n ontzettende rotzooi.. Alle weilanden nat -> paarden erop -> modder -> zo ziet ons "winterweilanddeel" er op dit moment uit. Boos!

We have more bag this evening, no Renee I did not get a picture, maybe tomorrow. So she is progressing. Not much else to report. Have a great night everyone, soon we will be on mare stare and will need the extra sleep.

Update Snickers:
There is not much update on Snickers. Her temp. was down to 98.8 which was some drop. But not anything to get excited about. She had no udder last night when I talked with Carolyn. So we will just keep looking............

Update Megan, Libby, Abby, Lady & Bobbi:
Megan should be next. Her bag is expanding nicely and her teats are starting to fill out. I checked her tonight and I feel pretty safe that I can actually sleep in our bed tonight but it's going to be a day by day decision. Wow! Now there is a novel experience! A BED! Meg is due the 6th...just around the corner. I suspect she will go sometime this weekend if not before. She's been pretty uncomfortable...but as you know..I am watching! We don't miss too many around here do we? Depending on how her colostrum looks tomorrow, I may have to move Crue and the baby and put Meg in the foaling stall. Meg is, as you may recall, a vivid red leopard, a big girl and the full sister to a World and Reserve World Champion...her pedigree is awesome and she is bred to Hi Tech..so that means...guess what?.. YEP..we will get a bay or black/bay. But what coat pattern??? Can we possibly pull off ANOTHER leopard? Wow! Let's go for it Meg!
Then Libby. Libby is the big ???? as Libby is an AQHA mare bred to the World Champ. stallion, Imaginary Gold. Can we pull out color out of a quarter mare? Well...whatever color this foal will be..I can promise you one thing..it should be quality!
Abby is wide as a boxcar. She's due on the 21st and again..expect a bay or black/bay. With her near leopard coloring and Hi Tech's??? I predict a bay near leopard with a ton of spots!
Lady is one I'm really looking forward too. Her pedigree is spectacular and she is tall big bodied girl. She is bred to Maid Ya Whisper and this cross should really kick out a show baby!
Somewhere in all of this we have Bobbi...who will get taken off Regumate sometime during the middle of the month. This birth may be the hairiest one...I know I will be worried. But we will simply do the best we can. Finally, in May Sky is due and our year is complete. Breeding will be finished up and we can then enjoy the show season and getting our summer work done here around the farm. Wow! Time flies when you are having babies!

Update Butter & Fanny:
Still making progress........butter has little bits of amber wax and the bag, about to explode....remember she did this for a few days her last time. But that was her Maiden foal...so sometimes they repeat, sometimes they dont!

Fanny..........busy busy around her stall. Not dozing in her fav spot yet this eve...........

Update Dixie:
She has been very restless since coming in to eat. Dixie kicked her stomach almost the entire time she was eating then went down a couple of times with me in the stall. She's done more rolling,rubbing, up and down etc.

Now she seems to be resting though not real comfortably so we'll wait to see what she does when she gets up.

Thanks for Joining Us In The Barn and hope to see a new baby soon! I'm ready and know you all are! Hopefully Dix is ready now.

Update Betty:
A little on Betty

Well some of you got to hear Betty over the phone, or got her tape last year too.

Betty.. from the MINUTE her water breaks.. starts talking to that baby! You know if she would not talk to that baby so much and push, she would have it a LOT faster!

Imagine this... her water breaks & Betty jumps up and looks around the stall. "Oh baby baby baby.. where are you? Oh where is my baby?" Finally... she will lay back down and give a little grunt. Harder than that Betty.. remember? Betty.. has her head up over herself.. "Oh baby baby are you out yet? I know your there.. Oh where is my Baby?"

Now this does continue.. until she actually does push and get that baby out! Takes a long time.. because she does not shut up long enough to PUSH!

Now Betty is 24 years old, and this is baby # 5. She is a retired barrel horse, that if you got her near the arena, she would give you allshe had. She also has a bad left knee. From years of running.

Betty also has Narcolepsy. She will fall into a deep sleep standing with her rear a little off the wall. Her nose will hit the ground and she will stumble. Now she has dropped to her knees before also. I still catch my breath watching her. I make the sawdust very deep where she stands to cushion that knee. So do not be shocked if you see this when she comes back on the cam.

Betty does not lay down a lot, but is laying down more each year. She will also get her legs going. Kind of reminds you of a dog sleeping and chasing bunnies.. I call it Betty running Barrels or Poles.

Betty is in great shape for her age, and if the knee was not so big from arthritis in it, she would be 100%. I do try to watch her weight, and right now a little heavy... but then has a baby in there too. I do not want her to drop weight as too hard on a mare her age. Actually she not fed any more than the other girls.

I hope you all enjoy Betty when she moves to her foaling stall. Most have come to love Betty ... as you will find out.. she does a lot of posting! Enjoy!

Betty is ook de merrie waar Macy erg veel mee belt en mailt.
Je hebt dus kans dat de merries af en toe ook de computers van de cams hacken en dan kunnen er ineens rare dingen boven in beeld staan bij de cams Schijnheilig
