Update Betty: Betty has been a bit more active tonight. Wonder if she is just installing more magnets?
Wax picture 1 is in What's for supper. This is just now to note the difference.
HELLOOOOOOOOO Betty.. if you were Spook, Annie, Gigi, Em.. you would have already have had this baby for us. Nope.. your Betty with the cotton in your ears going at us all
That is okay Betty. It has to come out sometime back at ya
Yep she could.. or as we know Betty.. she might not. I will be dozing tonight on the floor. all...
Update Brightside, Curly Sue & Star: No dramatic changes but several small ones. Brightside and Curly sue have begun to bag up and so has Star. We now have four bagging up and one not started yet.
We have everyone in cover because we have severe weather forcast for tonight. The cameras may go off if it gets real stormy. I will try to keep everything running but feel none of the mares are close to foaling tonight.
Update Fancy: FANCY MAY FOAL TONIGHT!, Slim chance she may foal........... I have just returned to the house from seeing Fancy and I feel THINGS ARE RIGHT FOR A FOAL TONIGHT. But then that may change in alittle while.
Update Fanny, Mari, Paydorra & Spirit: Will do a check later......she was busy last night, giving me some signs...but after I fed her dinner, she seems happy today.... Ill do a bag check later. She is not all that far off.....but i dont really know how close either
Mari is bagging pretty good. She's 317 days by the date i was given.
Update Shanza, Cinnamon, Lace, Gabby & Vicki: Well, there isn't a whole lot of change in the girls tonight. Here is what we found...
* Shanza - Cam #2: Appears to be the most ready. She is elongated, relaxed, her bag is bigger, but her milk is not sticky. * Cinny - Cam #3: Bag is bigger, and we finally got a couple drops of fluid. It is sticky, but not as sticky as Piper's before she foaled. She is looser in her rump, but still could use some more relaxing. * Lace - Cam #1: Her bag is a little larger and she is relaxing, but doesn't seem ready. * Gabby - Refreshing Cam: Gabby is almost as ready as Shanza. Could be a race to see who will go first. * Vicki - off cam: Vicki's bag is getting bigger everyday and she's finally giving us fluid too, but again, it's not as sticky as we think it needs to be. Wish we could have her on cam too.
So, that's our updates for this evening. We're making progress, and I would guess Shanza and Gabby would be the closest at this point. I'll do my best to keep you posted. Thanks for joining us in the Stables.
Update Baby: Baby has made some progress today I was able to get enough milk to test tonight, she is testing 2 squares Her vulva is still very elongated and red inside. We are getting closer to seeing her foal Baby is at 339 days today Will update if she has made any changes when I check her later tonight. Thanks for watching.
Update Libby, Abby & Lady: PLEEZZZZZZZUH LIBBY...GO TONIGHT! Yes...it's starting to get a bit scary. Libby does have more wax tonight. I GUESS that is a good sign but she's cried wolf so many times I'm not sure whether or not to trust her! But she does have to go sometime soon. She can't keep it forever! Then there is Abby...whose so big she can hardly walk and a bag the size of an overinflated basketball. Poor girl. She is due today. And Lady who is due Thursday has just had it with pregnancy. Poor girls. I feel for all three...and for me! Who has to listen to every little twitch all night long only to find someone breathing heavy because they are napping, fat and uncomfortable. This is quite the maternity ward right now. SOOOOOON! We have to have one at least soon. Besides, we Libby is selfishly hogging stardom right now! Back to my couch! I am watching. Let's hope we see some ACTION!
Update Dotti: Well Dotti still wants to keep that baby all to herself...she has to foal sooner or later..lots of tail swishing and butt rubbing still noticed today when she lays down she likes to look at her belly some.. Chica not far behind maybe she wants to share soon..lol nothing new to report..hang in there thanks for watching
Update Harlequin, Sabrina & Shoshone: Wow...these mares are giving us fits this year. Harli kept us up and watching her all night last night. She was circling in her stall, getting up and down, and just generally acting like she was very uncomfortable and might be starting early labor. No such luck. When Harli wasn't doing something, Shoshone and Sabrina took over and kept the beepers going off while they napped.
Harli's bag is a little fuller tonight but I can't get enough fluid to test. Sabrina and Shoshone have not made any changes that I can see.
I'm sure hoping for a calmer night and a little sleep.
I'll update you if we see anything happening with any of the mares.
Update Lacey: Lacey is progressing as normal. Udder is starting to be fuller in the mornings then going down during the day. Nipples still touching. She is still a couple of weeks away.
Update Shannon: Shannon has no rear end left but her bag isnt quite as full as it is when she foals... She could safely go anytime and it wouldnt suprise me..
That just about says it all No change since dinner, seems very comfortable munching her hay.
We will be watching. We have afternoon thunderstorms forecast for the rest of the week, and a full moon on Friday, so maybe that will coax the little one out... we'll see.
We will update if anything changes.... Scott, keep that road block up for Betty's shipment. Maybe these magnets will wear out soon, and with no replacements coming, Maggie will have nothing to keep that foal in!
Update Patches: Well last night Patches paced just about all night.. she didnt' lay down the first time, seemed very uneasy, kicking her belly alot and biteing her sides. Today she layed down only twice once she layed down got right back up then later layed down and finally rested for about 30 minutes.. She didn't want to come out of her stall at all today. So maybe she is getting closer to having this foal now. So I get another night of little sleep lol
