Ik ben net terug van de Brabanthallen.

March 20---9PM We had a little set back with Polly. She started acting really afraid and was running into the walls. The vet came and her bloodwork is fine. Everything is under control and she should be fine; We have a catheter in her because we gave her fluids. I need to feed her milk every 2 hours tonight so I have turned the camera off for the evening so that I can monitor her from the house. Please check in the morning and hopefully everything will be fine. Sandy

Update Betty:
Well Betty has always gone from the crystally stuff to dripping milk for a day. She has clear sticky drippy type of wax right now on and off. She could go tonight, or she could wait another day or 2. She is very miserable and moody. So we wait and see when her timer goes off.

Update Sabrina, Brightside & Star:
Hope you had a nice "first day of spring" today. Probably a little wet but that brings may flowers, right?

No big change in any mare. Sabrina and Brightside are winning in the bagging up contest. We put Star in a stall. She is due in early April but is a veteran broodmare and is beginning to show bag changes and will be put in the holding pattern with the others. The Plot thickens!!! ohmy.gif ohmy.gif

If someone takes their finger out of the dam we will have a foal explosion!! Stay tuned.

no changes.
She's getting rather snootty about being messed with. So maybe we are getting somewhere, maybe not.
She still looks at me and goes

She foaled on the upside of a Full Moon last time. 2 or 3 days. that puts us on the money for tuesday.wednesday....hmmm, can she do it

She was bred March 31 of last year...she cant wait a whole lot longer
I will still maintain anytime. She was doing the belly kicking etc earlier.

Update Twinkie, Twister & Ragdoll:
Twinkie has a pretty good udder on her today, although it's not fully engorged yet, and her belly is beginning to drop. She's a maiden and we all know that they don't necessarily show all (or any!) of the signs a seasoned mare does. I will be on foal watch beginning tonight and will be napping on a mattress in the computer room.

Twister could still fool us and foal around then, too. Right now her udder isn't nearly as developed as Twinkies, but she's been a pretty sneaky mare in the past and could possibly try that again.

Ragdoll isn't bagged up very much at all. I think it'll be at least two weeks for her.

I took Honey and Lucky home to Bobbie's yesterday and brought B Cute to my barn. She's not due until April 22nd and has hardly any udder deveolpment right now. It will probably be at least 3 weeks before we even need to start watching her.

So, that's the scoop for now! I'll post updates as I see changes in the mares. Check back soon!

Update Libby, Abby & Lady:
Libby is overdue. Abby is due tomorrow and Lady is due Thursday. They all look ready but I still think they are holding out on me to go all at once. At this rate it wouldn't be an impossibility!
Well...back on the couch to watch Libby. If she got any looser I swear she'd melt right in the stall. AND NO MORE HIDING LIBBY. UGH! She has the ability to completely hide herself up against the camera wall. All I can do is listen for that breathing to change!

Well nothing new to report,she still tail swishing some and butt rubbing and alot of face rubbing.She was down alot last night trying to rest before it happends.So come on dotti show us your baby.i think somebodys mare called dotti and warned her.. all i can say is keep checking in when you can she can go either way. have it now or make us wait..

Update Fancy:
Fancy is coming along nicely. Her bag has increased in size but not able to get any fluid. She is relatively soft around the tail. March 23 is her due date and feel she will be pretty close to that date if not before.

Tennessee is also due on March 23, but she is not going to make her date with the stork! biggrin.gif

Snickers and her foal are doing great. That little filly is always putting on a show. She is full of energy.

Update Harlquin:
It has been a cloudy day with rain and drizzle most of the day. I let the mares go out for the day even though the weather was messy. They need to get out get some exercise. They have plenty of shelter they can get under when it rains. The problem is...they usually prefer to go in and out of the rain...then roll ... they really need to make sure they can get as dirty as possible so we will have something to do trying to clean them up. rolleyes.gif

Harli is the only one of the mares that is showing changes tonight. Her bag is a little fuller but I still can't get enough fluid to test. Maiden mares Scream2.gif

It looks like these ladies are going to keep us really busy watching them for awhile. Precious and Foxy will be brought in and put on the cameras Monday or Tuesday. Wow...five mares to watch at once CupaCoffee.gif CupaCoffee.gif and more CupaCoffee.gif

I'll update you all if I see anything happening with any of the mares.

Update Sabrina (Cloverdale Miniatures):
19 maart:
Foal watch 2005 at Cloverdale Miniatures is officially here. All four jennets due in April have begun to bag up pretty much on schedule with one exception. Sabrina is definately ignoring the due date calendar. She started to bag up about 3 weeks ago and at this point she looks to be almost ready to foal. Since this is her first we have no history to go by and maidens tend not to follow the rules so making a prediction is next to impossible. We are watching her closely and all I can tell you is she could foal anytime now. It is now 3 weeks before her projected due date but still well within the "normal" gestation range for minidonkeys.

Sabrina still looks ready to go anytime but she doesn't seem as uncomfortable and restless as she did last night. Watch and wait continues Knipoog
