jeugdruiters:Dorris Monnich from The Netherlands had another great day, placing fifth in the first go-round. With her first-place cutting finish, she's really making herself known at the Youth World Cup.
Her teammate, Fenna Elzinga, took one for the team today. Although she had drawn a pleasure horse for the reining competition, she made the best of it. Fenna told me that after a shaky first go and score of zero, she wanted to call it quits for the day. But she knew that wasn't an option and gave it a second shot. She was glad she did, turning in a solid score and redeeming her confidence.
