Dit mailtje kreeg ik vanochtend van een kennis van mij uit Amerika Cheri. Helaas voor haar wat minder leuk news omdat ze niet 1e is geworden. Maar wel leuk nieuws voor de mensen die een Like Diamond, Gunner of een Mark This Spot hebben!

WORLD SHOW NEWS!

Well poop..... The APHA World Show did not go quite as I hoped. Molly my Gunner mare did get Reserve World Champion in the Senior Reining last week. And I was leading the Amateur class into the finals, but todays run two judges called my horses lead change a kick out and it knocked me way out of the placings. (5 point penalty) They even delayed the placings at first and asked for a review, but two of the 5 judges still called it a kick out, everyone else agreed it was a rough lead change. Molly never kicks out, I don't think she could. Just my luck.........
Other than that, all my horses made it to the finals. We had fun visiting with all the neat paint people and met new friends. I wish all of you could make it, what a neat show. The 3 year old paint reining challenge was exciting. And with about 3 hours sleep total this weekend, I am ready for some sleep.

Oh!!! What a great show for Mark This Spot and Like A Diamond! Two Mark This Spot colts won the two top placings in the Junior Reining, and two Like A Diamonds took the top two placings in the Reining Challenge. Several were in top placings in the other reining and cowhorse placings. Good show for those studs to show their babies! Of course Gunners were peppered all over in the finals also.
The Mark This Spots seem to have a advantage to keep cool under pressure and perform. The Like A Diamonds are extreme athletes and the Gunners, well are just Gunners like usuall.
