Geplaatst Nu vroeg ik me af waar de naam vandaan kwam en op een amerikaans forum kwam dit als (één van de) antwoorden:
"The rumor is that they are called Chicago screws because they tend to disapear so mysteriously without a trace. There is supposed to be a giant deposit of them encased in cement at the bottom of Lake Erie, but don't tell anyone where you heard about it. "
