RUGGED LARK - SUPERHORSE
1981 - 2004
RUGGED LARK, EQUINE AMBASSADOR,
HUMANELY PUT TO SLEEP
America's beloved Super Horse was bred, born and trained at Bo-Bett Farm in Reddick, Florida where he lived with his owner, Carol Harris and family, for almost 24 years. Rugged Lark, show horse extraordinaire, spent the latter part of his life entertaining and making friends with thousands of visitors that came to see him at Bo-Bett. Always a gentleman, this handsome Quarter Horse Stallion would bow politely to his fans, and with ears forward make each person feel he was a very special friend. Rugged Lark remained healthy to the end, but on October 25th, he became uncomfortable with his first colic. Expert medical treatment could not solve his dilemma and for the first time in his life, Rugged Lark learned the meaning of pain. Considering his age and condition, his prognosis was poor. Carol's decision to not let Lark suffer became her final solution. Rugged Lark, a legend in his time, has left countless memories for everyone who was fortunate to know him.
