Hi Cornelie,
Thanks for the email and the compliment on my articles! I got your
picture...which is very nice by the way!!! I really like the colors you are
wearing as they are soft and neutral, but still professional looking. I'd get a
cream slinky to wear under your vest. I just like the streamline look of a
slinky as opposed to a cotton shirt. Do you have a light color hat??? That
would look awesome to as it will lighten up your face (as opposed to a black
hat). It's always good to have a buckskin (beige) color hat and a black hat.
When I'm showing in black based outfits, like black chaps with black and royal
blue on top....I'll wear a black hat. When I show in neutral colors...like tans
etc...I wear my buckskin color hat.
I think light blue would look great too! The gelding I show is a sorrel and I
have a baby blue and black outfit that I wear.....right down to the matching
baby blue and black saddle pad. People always say stay away from wearing red on
a sorrel of chesnut horse, but I don't agree. Red and sand look awesome on a
red horse!
Hope this helped. If you have any more questions....just give me a holler. I'm
attaching a picture of myself, and my husband (who's on our horse). Because we
both show, my husband and I always coordinate our outfits for the day. This day
we went with black and yellow.
