I hope her mother will allow her to come to the U.S. and stay when she gets old enough to make the choice. She is now 13 yo. Honestly, I have no idea how well she can. My ex-wife has only let me communicate with her for the past couple of months. Otherwise, I have not seen or heard from her in 12 years. I will have to find a way to pay for my daughters riding instruction directly to the club or school.
Currently I write her letters and when she gets them her mother has to translate them into dutch. When she sends me a letter she has to write them and her mother translates them, then she rewrites them in english and mails them to me. My daughter should not have to do this so I must learn dutch. Due to the long time it takes for our mail to get back and fourth along with the language barrier it is difficult to get the information I need about her riding abilities and wishes. What I do know is she use to take lessons and she wants to ride. Mostly she wants me to teach her to ride. Due to the distance that is impossible.
Thank you for the link. I will check into it. Do you have any information about the riding club in Bunscholten. I may need to check into it since she will be able to go their herself. She has no horse so that may be a problem. I will purchase her a horse when she comes to the U.S. but I will not tell her that because I think it will cause problems.
How can I locate a bijrijdpaard? That may be an option as well.
I will also write her about the National Quarter Horse Championship next month. Is their a link so I can find more information and so I can try to work it out for her to go. I know she will like it. I wish I could take her but the distance and my medical problems make it too difficult. I am mobil but I goto the hospital about once a week so traveling is restricted for me. I also have not told my daughter that I am disabled. I will tell her when/if she is able to come to the U.S..
