Ze staat nu met een hele dikke buik precies voor de camera... Dus wat er ook in het stro heeft gelegen, het was geen veulen...die zit er namelijk nog in...

Miss Kitty is about the same as she has been the last couple of days. Her udder is full and very large. One would not think that she could hold off much longer so be watching. This is a younger mare that may not show us all the classical signs before labor begins. I seem to be the lucky one that has mares that don't show a lot of signs before they foal. Annieblue didn't hardly show any signs last year, except going off her feed. I am hoping that Miss Kitty will ease off her feed or start dripping milk or something to let us know ahead of time that foaling is going to occur soon.But as mentioned I don't seem to run across this too often which makes it hard for me to be able to let people know how soon the foaling will be. All I can say is to keep watching and if she does show more of the classical signs I'll be sure to let you know.

Miss Kitty is leaning her rear against the wall ONCE in awhile, swishing her tail occassionally, and changing her routine somewhat. I am not seeing quite the muscle relaxing that I would see with an older mare. I would like to see more of this.The hip points usually start showing more as they get closer to foaling too. Pacing the stall with pawing the ground or kicking the back leg up at belly is another good sign. A change in the shape to the belly helps too along with relaxation under the tail. Waxing or dripping milk would be a good sign but as mentioned above Miss Kitty may just decide on us that she is just going to lay down and have this baby and forget all about the foaling manual and the classical signs. Some mares will show all the signs while other mares may just show a few signs and it can be slight, so my work here is not easy unless she starts helping me out more..lol.
My guess is that she MIGHT foal anytime between now and Sunday night. That is just a guess and she could fool us all and go longer. Again I would like to be seeing more signs and I may in the upcoming days. I know her udder is full like you all have seen and it really should not be too much longer.

Hallo,

Nou, ik volg deze merrie net als jullie al een paar dagen Scheve mond

maar ik denk
inderdaad dat vanavond dan de avond wordt van de bevalling. Alleen weet je dat er bij paarden geen touw aan vast te knopen is.
Ik wil het in ieder geval niet missen dus ik heb mezelf maar voorzien van drinken en wat lekkers en er zit niks anders op dan wachtend toe te kijken!! Gaaaap

Ik wens jullie ook veel kijk plezier toe en wie weet zijn wij zo getuigen van een nieuw leven op deze aardbol!!! Schijnheilig

Grappig, ik heb het in Amerika licht zien worden... Haha!

Ze heeft (in ieder geval vanaf 04.00 uur) door haar box heen en weer gelopen en de boel systematisch ondergepoept. De staart hangt ook niet echt ontspannen naar beneden. Dus lang kan het niet meer duren. Oooohhh... dat WACHTEN! Frusty

Ze hebben de digicam op "dichterbij" gezet!!
