Could someone please help in translating the following terms from English to Dutch? 1. Dorsal vertebrae. 2. Dorsal "fins" (the tips of the dorsal vertebrae.) 3. Superior spines. 4. Withers (schoft?) 5. Fistulous withers (inflammation and swelling of the withers, usually caused by a broken dorsal vertebra or broken "fin.") I would appreciate any help Dank je wel in advance

Vertibrae means (ruggen)wervel. Dorsal is rug. Superior spines: bovenste wervels, Don't know which these should be. Whithers I don't know, you could be right with schoft. I hope this helps you a little.

Withers is indeed "schoft" I don't think we use a particular name for fistulous withers, a literal translation would be: "zwelling en ontsteking van de schoft" 1 Dorsal vertebrae = rugwervels. Singular noun would be rugwervel 2 Dorsal fins = "uiteinde of the rugwervel" or something along that line. 3 spine is = ruggegraat. Using it in plural doesn't make much sense to me, if you mean the top of the spine "bovenste wervels"" would indeed be correct.
