Anyone know the Leefdaalhof Farm?

Hi All,

Many apologies for writing in English

but I do not speak Dutch and I wondered if any of you could help me. I recently bought a Haflinger mare and I wanted to trace her breeder. Her name is Tamira Van 'T Leefdaalhof, bred by Steurs Ludo in Belgium I think. She is 5 yrs old and in very very poor condition, but getting better each day. Does anyone know this breeder or if they are still breeding? It is always nice to know a horse's history

The Steurs family indeed is still active. Ivan Steurs (son of Ludo, iirc) is a show judge for the Haflinger shows organised by the belgian haflinger association. He owns Cony, an elite mare born in 2004.

At the 2007 national show for mares, their Thabita van 't Leefdaalhof {[BEL-H222433-HSB] (Atomist liz. x Trojka van het Leefdaalhof) - Steurs Ludo, Morkhoven} placed second in her series (she was then 4yo).

At the same show in 2009, Tiany van 't Leefdaalhof {[BEL-H247710-VRB] (Neidhart liz. x Thalia van het Leefdaalhof) - Steurs Ivan, Morkhoven} placed 9 out of 10 in her series (she was then 1yo).

Interesting, thankyou. My mare is by Atomist liz out of Terry Van het Leefdaalhof who is out of Tiffany Van het Leefdaalhof. I think Thalia maybe also out of Tiffany. I wondered if they would remember her and be interested in hearing where she is now. Do you know if the stud has an email contact?

Thalia is indeed a daughter of Tiffany, sired by Atomist. Trojka is a daughter of Mehrwald HR106 and Tessa van 't Leefdaalhof, which I suspect is a half-sister of Tiffany. I'm not sure about that, though - it may as well be a daughter of Tiffany as the latter is born in 1989.

I'd think you can contact Ivan by email, but I didn't find an email address to do so.

Many thanks (and thanks for the directions to it, I wouldn't have found the address otherwise!). Pity the stud doesn't have an email address, but I'll get out the paper and pen:)
