Info about Walser!

Hello!

I own a horse named Uroza, born 2001 in Holland after a stallion with name Walser, my question are.. who are Walser? I try to looking for information but can't found. Are he a good stallion? She's grandpa named Cambridge Cole. Can you give me information about Uroza, Walser or Cambridge Cole? Please send me an e-mail.. weris_88@hotmail.com. (english) Uroza live in Sweden today.

Walser is a Gelderlander horse.

Cambridge Cole is a Hackney and very famous for his harness horse offspring.

Your horse is 75% Gelderlander (= part of the KWPN)

Is this a good breed? Has he leave any dressage horse or jumping horse? My horse Uroza has a lovely trot and canter, when I buy her in october 2008 she was not in condition, she has been a foal mare in Holland I think. Today we training and she show a little quality in dressage!

Hij is afgekeurd bij de tuigpaarden. Daarna is hij goedgekeurd bij de Gelderse paarden. Weer afgekeurd en daarna weer voor het leven goedgekeurd.

My horse is a doughter of Walser. A typical Gelder horse. Very good nature and a hard worker. We ride dressage, showjumping and Eventing. For photos check my profile...

Hoe zo BKR? Het is toch een vraag over de afstamming?
Gelderse paarden horen ook niet bij de klassieke rassen...Het is nanelijk geen ras...het is een KWPNer..type dus. Kan nog wel bij familie banden.

I've known Walser. He stood on a Stable, where i've given pony riding lessons. In that time, they didn't ride him, because he wasn't easy to get in and out of the stable. He didn't liked the other stalions who stood there. So I don't know if he was good in dressage. He was loved for his color, because he gave a lot of black foals. ( he is black to).

Your horse had a fohl in 2008, thats probely why she was not in outstending condition when you bought her.
This is her pedigree, the stallion they used wasn't a approved stallion.

Cambridge Cole was a Hackney, he was used to bring some blood in the dutch harnassed horses.

Gelderlander horses are really neat horses with outstanding characters, you can use them allround.

Thx for all answer! I'm very happy to found a horse like Uroza, she's beautiful and very nice to handle! And when she moves, wow, much better than most of swedish breed! And she was very sheap to buy! I like your horse =)

She looks good. But not all dutch horses are like this. De Gelderlanders are a very very small population in the KWPN studbook. There are about 500 broodmares and 12 stallions left.

The dutch harness horse is a little bigger than the Gelderlander population.

Why comes Uroza to Sweden If Gelderlanders is a small population? Why don't they save this horses? But Uroza maybe not a Gelderlander? In the passport It stood "Type GP", is she a Gelderlander?

I don't understand nothing.. In sweden we had discuss this about a real Gelderlander.. In Urozas passport It stood "Type GP", but that not a real Gelderlander becuse she have Cambridge Cole on the mothers side (hackney)? Why put GP if the horse not are a Gelderlander? It's my first time a bought a horse from another country

But how can she be that when she has Cambridge Cole as grandpa? I don't understand becuse Uroza is 75% Gelderlander and 25% Hackney, how can she be a real Gelderlander? But It stood Type GP in the passport.. weird. In Sweden they say that Gelderlander Horses is very expensive? But I bought Uroza very sheap.

A few years ago there was a minimum % Gelders blood necessary for registration as a Gelderlander...12,5 Hackney was allowed. At this moment there is no minimum %
