Citaat:OVERBITE
An overbite is where the upper incisors protrude over the front of the lower incisors. Your horse may have been born with a natural overbite. Hooks or ramps on the front upper or lower back molars can shift the jaw forward, resulting in an overbite. Overbites become common when younger horses have suckled from their mothers for longer than a five to six month period. With an overbite the molar abnormalities need to be corrected and the length of the upper incisors will need to be reduced. The longer an overbite remains untreated the more severe it will become.
