Citaat:How much a horse CAN bend his entire body should not be confused with how much it should bend its body while being ridden. It is not a question of whether a horse can bend - they scratch their bums with their teeth every day. Bite flies off the chest, throw the neck up to half rear and tilt the pelvis almost vertical while urinating. It's a matter of how much bend a horse can sustain while loaded with a human, and moving briskly forward. It's a matter of balance and muscle coordination, strength and circulation. Did I mention proprioception?
