Knap dat ze punten geven voor wat ze nu zien en niet voor wat ze in hun achterhoofd hebben van maanden geleden.
Citaat:Yesterday one could see the 96 preselected KWPN stallions in a more or less relaxed environment. In a nutshell it was not so easy for many horses as the lungeing circle was quite small, approximately 13 meters radius, and the organizer added 5 obstacles where the young stallions but also stallion handlers stumbled over so it looked like the Dutch tried to combine lungeing with free jumping! If you want to make horses cheap this is the way to do it as several stallions got stressed by that setup so it was sometimes hard to gain additional information.
Anyways there were several horses with serious issues like conformation starting with the hooves, weak backs, dead tails hanging down without any sign of carrying, flat canters, short walks, bad characters and some were just ugly. Still there were some very nice ones for breeding and sport but to me only a handful remained. I can calm you down, this is the same in Germany!☺️
Apparently every breeding association has their individual challenges but my takeaway was that the information flow between Dutch and German associations has to be better as the future to build top horses is in a careful co-working to create Dutch-German hybrids because in general we can use the quick stepping of the ground with the front knee action while the Dutch can use our German cadence and solid backs with good minds. May be one has to start with organizing bus tours for the Dutch to the German championships and for the Germans to the Pavo Cup as the information that everybody is craving for is probably out there on neutral competition places under the saddle.♂️
