A special topic so we can learn better English

I thought it would be very instructive if we talk English in this topic.
I want to speak and write better English and maybe there are also other people on this forum which like to learn better English. It can happend that I write something here not correct. But we can help each other with the English language. I would also like that we can talk about the ordinary things in live. I would like to learn the English language better and better. So I can talk English with out hesitation. That would be so nice.

I like English, I used to be very good at it but it slipped away a little.
Once I made a stupid mistake...
I was talking English to a person, and wanted to explain where a dog was attacked. So I said, the dog was attacked by the bench. She started laughing... I didn't know what was going on... But she explained, "attacked by the bench" means "aangevallen door de bank" in English. The right sentence had to be: the dog was attacked at the bench...
Sometimes I don't know a word in dutch but I do in English, that's weird sometimes.

It's so weird reading English at bokt.nl. My mind can't really comprehend it. It doesn't fit

It is not that old, just 2 months, and you can reply there if you want to speak English. It is not allowed to just make a new topic.

Also, you have to ask permission to a moderator if you want to make a topic to speak a different language than Dutch.

Yes, me too Merula123. :')

I think my English is okay, I used to game a lot (World of Warcraft and games like that) so I was forced to talk and read English. I really helped me to learn the language better, but it still isn't flawless.

A topic like this seems to be a good idea.

O really, I do´nt now that. But I thought this was a great idea. It would be unfortunate if they are gonna close this topic.

Quite a good idea, there is however a little mistake in your opening post. If I may correct you.
The sentence: "It can happend that I write something not correct" is ironically not correct. You could better use the fraise: It may occur that my writing is incorrect. Or: I may make a little mistake in my writing now and then. Or something similar

If this topic would remain open, I'd like to join. My grammar and spelling can be a little off sometimes, and I would like for someone to correct me on that matter.

I've just seen the above post, I'll join the earlier mentioned topic

If I may, I'd like to join!

I do speak a lot of English, because some of my friends don't speak Dutch. My grammar is so bad I can cry about it xD
Mostly I don't even recognize my grammar mistakes, so feel free to correct me

By the way, is it an idea to introduce ourselfs?

I think that speaking English is easier than writing it.
Am I the only one that refrase a sentence just to avoid using a single word
