Hello all,

My name is Julie and I am French.
I don't speak dutch yet but I work hard to learned as quick as I can your language!
I live in the Netherlands since june 2017 and I work in Breda.

I don't know if it's the best place to put my request but I need your help.
My horse still in France and I'm thinking to organize a transport to take her with me in Breda.
First, I want to tell you that it's not a whim. I am here for 2 years minimum, I am 27 years old, I can manage to take care of my horse, to pay the transportation and all the fees around. And the most important I need to have her close to me. I cannot leave it in France or think about sell her..

So! I would like to know if you have some advices for me.
In France we can find very nice "pension" in a farm for example. Do you have this kind of offer in NL?
I don't need to have coaching or manege. I just ride occasionally my horse. She just needs a nice park with grass and friends around her.

I am sorry for my bad english.
I'm still learning ..

Thanks in advance for all the informations/advices you can shared with me !
Have a nice evening _/-\o_

Oh and I forgot, I'm pleased to introduce my pony: SAMARA DE CYDEL :o

Most Dutch keep their horse at a ‘pensionstal’ so that should be no problem. For most regions there are local facebook groups aimed at horsepeople that can help you find a good place for your horse. Often both full boarding (‘vol pension’, this means they do all the work for you) and half boarding (half-pension, meaning you have to some work yourself like cleaning the stall) are possible, depending on your budget.

Welkom! I used to work in Breda, so i'm kinda familiar with the area.

This one is just outside Breda, Terheijden. Stal Zeggezicht http://www.zeggezicht.nl/
They have all sorts of ways to keep their horses (full pension with box, 24/7 outside, half pension etc).

There are a lot of stables in the area. What are your wishes?

Can't help you with the transportation sorry..

For Transport, call Potijk paardentransport.
They have weekly transport to and trough France, they are affordable and reliable.
I have used them several times for everything from foals to adult horses from and to the Netherlands.

Bonsoir,

Goedemoegen,

Thanks for your answers.
I will check your links and contacts today :D

I am looking for something very simple; A park with grass and friends! If it's possible in a nice part of the countryside. She don't especially needs to be inside.. even if I know that the dutch weather is worse than the south of France! :P
Just to be sure there is someone that take care of her during during my working days.

Have a nice day!
Julie

Hello!

When I was looking for boarding of this type for my previous horse, I just went cycling around my neighbourhood and would ring the doorbell of any house that had horses next to it. I actually found a few possible places that way.
It might be a bit more difficult as the people might not speak English (or French) that well, but it could be worth a try if you really are looking for something small-scale.

You could also post a request on a few facebook pages, for example the "PN ontmoetingsplek: paarden, pension & verzorgers" and "stalling en weidegang Nederland". Those groups have a very active pool of members who often know a lot of smaller places.

Good luck! :)
