[GED] a prayer for peace

Al een paar maand terug gemaakt, en legt voor mij uit dat God luistert terwijl ik de woorden vaak niet echt kan vinden.
Ik ben echt benieuwd wat jullie er van vinden!

A PRAYER FOR PEACE

It’s nice to pray
For peace, not violence
But what is there to say
When you fight the scream of silence?

And when you need some sleep
Need some peace and rest
But it just goes to deep
And you can’t find words to last.

Then the silence calls your name;
Still all you want is to deny
Not to join its fame
Cause you need some sound to hang by.

When this dark stillness screams
You can hear the words he’ll say:
“I’ll get you in all of your dreams
and follow you into the day”

Then it’s hard to pray
Cause you can’t stand silence, can’t hear noise
Then it is quite hard to say
What would be the best of choice.

Please, just give me rest!
Give me peace to stand and stay;
Please some stillness on the west
And on the east, some strength to pray

Where the darkness has got his fame
It has no use to fight
But when the silence screams my name
God hears all these prayers tonight.

Ik vind hem niet zo 'bijzonder', hij spreekt me niet aan.
