It hurts, my heart huts. What happened in Dallas, Texas has left me in tears and completely shattered. What happened in Orlando had me in tears and completely shattered. What happened in Zaventem had me in tears and completely shattered. What happened in Bagdad has me completely shattered and in tears. Every act of violence breaks me, hurts me and makes me a different person; it changes me.

What is happening to our beautiful world? Has it really come to this? To the time where we pull the trigger to kill others? Where it’s easier to kill people than it is to shake hands to greet each other? Has it really come down to this? Where did we go wrong? Why can’t we accept one another? We are all the same. We share the same bones. We have the same blood running through our veins. And no, don’t you dare to tell me that your blood is not the same as mine, because it is! We are all made of chromosomes, bones, muscles and blood. We all have a great mind and we have a beating heart. We are destined for greatness yet we rather throw it away. We rather take the gun and start killing people. And don’t you dare to deny it! Because this world has been going down hill and you know it! We all know it!

We kill people, we fiets kill people! We discriminate and we are racists. We hurt each other to make ourselves feel better. What’s the point of being so extremely and utterly selfish? Where is the love? Why can’t we accept each other for who we are? Why do we have to fight? Why can’t we make love and peace? There are a thousand questions racing through my mind as silent tears stream down my face. I never cry, this time, however, I am. I can’t hold back the tears, not anymore.

The world has become a bad place. A place of violence and hate and racism — a world where we do not accept each other for our true selves. It hurts, it does hurt. We turn to guns to prove ourselves. We pull the trigger to make a fiets statement! For what? For fiets nothing! We fight violence with violence. We create new problems on top of the already existing ones. Why? Why do we do that? It seems as though lives don’t matter anymore. We see racism in everything and anything and try to make the others feel guilty for discriminating us. Seriously? Is that the world we live in today? Mass shooting. Massacres. Shootings. Protests. The world where every action has to end up in a (mass) shooting. Innocent lives are taken for no fiets reason! You don’t kill people to prove something!

People say guns are the reason people kill. I believe that people are the reason people kill. Give a gun to a cat and he’s not going to kill another cat. Hell, he doesn’t even know how to hold it (apart from the fact that cats are lazy-ass bitches). Humans are the reason we kill; we are the reason we kill. Banning guns will not be the solution also. We are able to find other ways to kill people; we have always done this. We’ve killed with knives, spears and bow and arrow. Humans evolved but so did the spears. We are a smart breed (it feels strange to say that). We are capable of producing guns and finding ways out of tough situations. We find cures for diseases and we build houses; provide for those in need. We’ve been to space and we fly in aircrafts. We make cars and bikes and we are able to communicate with one another even though our first language isn’t the same. Your first language is English, mine is Dutch. But we both understand each other through communication. We adjust. The human species adjusts; able to grow from the worst situations possible; able to find solutions to save to world. Why are we spending our time killing people? Why are we spending time on killing people! Why the fiets do we do that!? What’s the point? What’s the point of doing something like that when we should work on finding solutions and work towards peace.

They say God does not exist. They say if he did exist He wouldn’t allow this to happen. That’s bullshit! He has given us the choice. Adam and Eve screwed up; tasted the forbidden fruit even though they weren’t allowed to. That’s where it went wrong. And to say that God doesn’t care is just bullshit! He cares. He loves each and everyone of us. I bet He is in tears too, I bet all the events has left His heart in million pieces also. I believe that we are intelligent enough to make a change for the better. And I know that He wants to make this world a better place also. But he will make that happen through us, through the people. Through the people with a pure heart. Through the people whom He thinks are capable of changing the world; of changing this cruel and vindicate world in one with peace and harmony. Through the people of whom He believes are able to change this world. I believe that God and Jesus Christ live on through us. I believe that there will come a time where violence will not exist anymore. I believe that we will live in peace. I believe that, some day, there won’t be violence and massacres and mass shootings and racism. I believe! I believe that together we can change this world! And that we have to make this world great again! I believe that this world will rise from its ashes and will become great again! I believe in you, in us; in every single one of us.
