[FOTO] Watching the storm

Ik had dit 'plaatje' al 3 jaar in mijn hoofd, maar het is nooit gelukt hem te maken. Tot vorige maand

Mijn witte pony, met een bewolkte achtergrond.
Ik ben er zelf heel tevreden over (wat ik echt nooit snel ben

) , nu was ik benieuwd wat bokt er van vind.

ik vind het een erg mooie foto! alleen, als ik dan toch iets moet opmerken

had ik het paard iets maar naar rechts 'gezet', zodat je wat meer ziet van de kijkrichting.

ik vind hem ook geweldig. Misschien dat je hem nog vetter krijgt als die over de top bewerkt word. Maar dat ligt aan je eigen photoshop kunsten. Zo is die ook al top.

Ariebombarie : Ik snap wat je bedoelt! Was allang blij dat ik deze heb kunnen maken

Misschien over 3 jaar dat het dan weer lukt

Verography: ik ben niet zo (heel) goed met photoshop.
Zelf vind ik een onbewerkte foto het beste te beoordelen, dus vandaar.

ja zeker, maar om het storm effect er beter uit te halen. Maar dit is ook wel gewoon experimenteer werk. Sowieso heb je al een voordeel want je basis is heel goed.

Ok, this is something that I'm wondering about for a while now. It's not just this topic but I'll mention it here anyway. Why the sudden need to use English for the titles, even when perfectly acceptable Dutch descriptions are available? I think it doesn't do much to add to the picture, especially when international publication doesn't seem to be the main goal.

Anyway, to add some useful comments as well: the contrast is spotted well, I especially like the white manes againts the dark clouds in de the back.

However, I feel the picture isn't totally balanced. I feel the horse is looking at something, rather than looking away, and therefore I think it would have been a stronger image if you put the main subject (the horse's head and gaze) at the right 2/3rd of the picture. A horizon might also have added to the feeling of space, the way you feel small when the storm surrounds you.

I totaly agree with you. You're right :Y)

Weet eigenlijk niet waarom ik voor een Engelse titel heb gekozen . Maar ik vind het zelf niet uitmaken of het nederlands of Engels is. Het gaat mij ook om de foto en niet om de titel. (anders had ik wel een creatief topic geopend bij UK

)

Het engels vind ik eigenlijk ook een beetje flauw Schaduw. :(:)

Heeeeeeele mooie foto TS, ik vind vooral de hoek (niet op ooghoogte maar lager) een groot compliment waard. Dat is imo wat deze foto zo interessant maakt.

Ik vind de foto erg mooi, maar hij had nog spannender gekunt. De compositie is al enkele malen genoemd, maar ik denk ook dat een iets hoger standpunt, en net een randje meer lichaam van het paard de foto goed had gedaan. Ook zou het contrast net iets hoger mogen, en het oog iets lichter opdat deze beter uitkomt. Maar dat is allemaal op te lossen met een klein beetje nabewerking

Wel een prachtig concept en nog goed uitgevoerd ook!

Op fora wordt in het Engels overigens vaak genoeg gebruik gemaakt van ingekorte woorden

Ik vind dat Shadow0 helemaal geen rare opmerking maakt en aangezien ze hem goed onderbouwt ook zeker geen loze opmerking. Meningen zijn er om geuit te worden, nietwaar?

Edit: Ik denk dat het verscherpen van de foto ook een erg mooi effcet zou kunnen geven!

TS, ik vind dat je het sportief opvat.

Mijn mening is (in Engels of Nederlands) oprecht gemeend, je hebt een mooi moment met een mooi contrast gevonden en ik denk dat als je wat experimenteert met de compositie bij een volgende foto (waar plaats je het onderwerp) nog veel kunt bijdragen aan de zeggenskracht. Verscherpen en spelen met de kleurbalans kan ook bijdragen - juist bij stormwolken kan een wat surrealistische sfeer heel mooi zijn. Ik ga dan ook mee met wat Killyenn schrijft

Vanwaar die behoefte om een naam die ook prima in het nederlands zou kunnen in het engels te zetten?

TS: Gave foto! Inderdaad erg mooi geschoten en gezien! Enige 2 puntjes zijn de compositie, ik had m nét wat anders gedaan (paard wat meer naar rechts, zodat die kijkrichting wordt benadrukt), en net wat meer contrast was denk ik mooi geweest.

Wat een sterke foto!
Ik vind de compositie juist wel goed zo.
De hals vormt een diagonale lijn die op 2/3 van de onderkant begint
en bovenin op 1/3 uit zou komen.
Hierdoor wordt de glooiende lijn van de hals juist benadrukt.
Ook is het paard nu echt omgeven door de wolken,
schuif je het paard naar rechts dan is dat effect weg.
Mooi!!! Beetje sprookjesachtig ook.
