De zaak wordt gearchiveerd (als MOORDzaak). Dit houd niet in dat een en ander vergeten wordt, maar dat het publiek wordt. Er is dan dus inzage en de McCanns en Murat zijn dan vrij van hun status van arguido.
Er is natuurlijk altijd hoop dat in hun opluchting er fouten gemaakt gaan worden, er opnieuw bewijzen komen en er is nog steeds hoop op het vinden van stoffelijke resten van Maddie.
De pers zal zich er ook op storten, dus einde is nog lang niet in zicht wat betreft de roddelpers.
Het betekent ook niet dat de politie er niet meer aan denkt of zo. Het is hun eer te na om die buitenlanders weg te laten komen met zoiets.

De openbaar aanklager (general attorny) in Portugal heeft inmiddels gereageerd met de verklaring dat alle suggesties dat het onderzoek op de plank zal verdwijnen prematuur zijn.
De Portugese politie heeft de zaak wel afgerond en het 4000 pagina's dikke dossier ligt inmiddels bij het openbaar ministerie ter beoordeling. Er is voldoende bewijs voor een aanklacht voor zware verwaarlozing (met de dood tot gevolg), omdat de politie naar verluidt bewijs heeft dat Maddie in het appartement is overleden.
Er zijn aanleidingen om betrokkenheid van de ouders te veronderstellen, maar er is onvoldoende bewijs om ze dit ook ten laste te leggen.
Voorlopig gaat de politie nog steeds uit van een dood ten gevolge van een ongeluk of moord en het verbergen van een lijk. De openbaar aanklager zal nu bepalen of er verder onderzoek zal worden gedaan of dat de zaak als "cold case" op de plank komt in de hoop dat zich alsnog nieuw bewijs voordoet. Als het openbaar ministerie afziet van de zwaarste aanklacht zal er ongetwijfeld een aanklacht komen voor verwaarlozing met de dood tot gevolg, waarvoor de ouders 2 tot 5 jaar in de gevangenis zouden kunnen verdwijnen.

In de Correio da Manha heeft zaterdag een heel artikel gestaan over het bewijs dat op de verschillende plaatsen is gevonden.

1 daarvan was voor mij nieuw: een lijkgeur in het perkje vlak voor het appartement.
De verklaring van Kate dat ze voor de vakantie nog met 6 lijken in contact was geweest verklaart misschien de lijklucht op haar kleding, maar niet de lijklucht in het perkje (of Kate moet met kleren en al daar zijn gaan liggen).
Dit geeft wel een verklaring voor de "ongeluk" theorie van de Politie.

Vandaag dient in Engeland een rechtszaak die de ouders hebben aangespannen tegen de Leichester politie om inzage te krijgen in de dossiers die de Engelse politie onder handen heeft. De McCanns zijn er niet zelf bij: ze zijn met vakantie.

Vandaag berichten de kranten dat bij de verhoren de verklaring van een Ierse getuige Martin Smith is gemist. Hij had op de avond van 3 mei een man zien lopen om ca. 21.50 uur die een meisje droeg dat leek op Maddie. Zijn verklaring zat wel al in het dossier. Eenmaal thuisgekomen realiseerde deze Martin Smith zich dat de man die hij gezien heeft Gerry was. Het kwartje viel, toen hij de McCanns thuiskomst op televisie zag en de man herkende als Gerry die 1 van de tweeling op de zelfde manier zag dragen als hij die avond de man het kind had zien dragen. Amaral had al voorbereidingen getroffen om deze getuige in Portugal zijn verklaring opnieuw te laten doen, maar dat is er na de overdracht van de zaak naar Rebelo nooit meer van gekomen.

Faced with the coincidence of the alerting of both animals, which signalled the same locations and objects related to the McCanns, the authorities were obliged to admit a possible involvement of Kate and Gerry in the disappearance of their daughter and to make them arguidos in order to confront them with evidence which could result in their incrimination – for, as [merely] witnesses, they could not opt to remain silent.

According to what CM has discovered, in the final investigation report produced by the PJ the investigators explained that the animals only gave their detection signals in places and objects related to the McCanns: in the apartment where Madeleine disappeared (in the parent's bedroom, the living room and next to a side window), in the back patio, the family’s car (rented 24 days after the girl disappeared), two pieces of Kate's clothing and Maddie's stuffed animal – the one Kate never released in the days following the disappearance.

In the McCann's friend's apartments, in the Luz village and in all the vehicles used by Robert Murat, the first to be made arguido, nothing was found by the dogs.
Given these indications, reinforced by other detailed tests done in Portugal and England, the PJ interrogated Kate and Gerry and made them arguidos.
The animals, Springer Spaniels, are heavily used in the UK in the search for missing people or homicide victims, with positive results.

KATE JUSTIFIES DEATH ODOUR
Kate McCann didn't negate the fact that her two pieces of clothes and the stuffed animal had been signaled by the English dogs trained to find cadaver odor and justified it by her profession. Madeleine's mother alleged that as a doctor at the Leicester health centre, she was present at six deaths directly before she came to Portugal on holiday, giving the same excuse for Madeleine's stuffed animal, that was with her in the months after her daughter disappeared.

VESTIGES OF A CRIME
Two specially trained dogs, used as criminal investigation assistants, detected cadaver odour in the McCann's bedroom, the living room, Kate's clothes, the girl's stuffed animal and the car key, as well as spots of blood in the boot of the car and the apartment living room.

INVESTIGATION REVEALS ABDUCTION IMPOSSIBLE
Final report describes dozens of diligences and unravels incongruences in the theory proposed by Maddie's parents
Thirteen months after Madeleine disappeared, the PJ ended the investigation that continues to be marked by uncertainties. The final report, the CM today exclusively reveals, does not determine guilt but leaves new and strong doubts about the theory presented by the English child's parents. It describes in great detail the diligences done by the investigators – who tried, in every possible way, to confirm their hypothesis – and reveals that it was theoretically impossible to have happened. The witnesses don't make sense, especially not the way that one of the friends said she saw a man carrying a child almost an hour before the alert about the disappearance occurred. This would be Jane Tanner, who guarantees she surprised the unknown man in a street where Maddie's father and another witness also were. Both guarantee that they saw nothing, even though they were in the same line of sight. Tanner, who much later made a photofit of the supposed abductor, also said that the man carried the child in a horizontal position. The size of the window reveals that this could only have happened if the child were carried vertically.
Being that as it may, the PJ tried through all possible means to find who could have taken Maddie. They did dozens of diligences related to suspects of sexual abuse. Elements were collected about those registered that could have been on holidays in the Algarve during that time period, in order to verify if there could have been any connection with little Maddie.
In addition, all the other residents of the village were investigated. The PJ entered more than 400 houses surrounding the Ocean Club and found nothing. On the window where Kate guaranteed that Maddie was taken no vestiges of the girl were found. Only marks that confirmed the DNA of the girl's mother.
The PJ's final report shows the details of an investigation that reached unprecedented levels. A couple was investigated that had allegedly tried to abduct another child, a fine toothed comb was used to research the clues that Maddie had been seen at a gas station. A crematorium was searched and Maddie’s genetic profile was compared to that of a child’s body found on the coast of the United States.

The PJ investigated a supposed beggar and followed thousands of clues around the world. In vain. Nothing confirmed the proposed abduction theory.

Change of versions: Laboratory was no longer certain

ENGLISH RETREATED ON THE EXAMINATIONS

They said the vestiges were compatible with Maddie's DNA, then later denied it.
Dog's indications were not corroborated by science
It was the strangest about-face in the investigation. The first examinations done by the English laboratory, a pioneer in the analysis of biological vestiges, said it was probable that the residues collected in the McCann's car were compatible with Madeleine's genetic profile.
Months later – after the PJ had made the parents arguidos, according to the final report only because of indications that they had hidden the child's body – the laboratory ended up correcting their initial information. In the end, the examinations of the vestiges collected from the Renaul Scénic rented by the McCanns were not conclusive and it wasn’t even possible to determine the quality of the material, that is, to know whether it was bodily fluid or vestiges of blood.
This scientific alteration, still not completely clarified, ended up leading the investigation to a dead end. The utilisation of the dogs that detected cadaver odors and blood are not valid within the Portuguese judicial system and it was necessary to scientifically corroborate the dog's detections.
The PJ's decision to send the analyses to England was based on a question of credibility. The investigators didn't want the results to be disputed by the English, accepting therefore that the vestiges should be analysed in that country.

USELESS TRIP TO ENGLAND
In April of this year, Paulo Rebelo and two of the investigators for this process who were trying to understand the puzzle of Madeleine's disappearance went to Leicester to interview the British who spent holidays in Praia de Luz with the McCanns. From the final report, we now know that nothing conclusive was discovered from these interrogations.
The PJ maintained the same close collaboration with the local police, but from the depositions they brought nothing new. The McCann friends limited themselves to confirming what they had said in the earlier interviews and the PJ left with empty hands from that city just north of London.

CHANGES
Paulo Rebelo, the new leader of the investigation after Gonçalo Amaral's exit, was at the Ocean Club several times, from which were collected a variety of vestiges. He was also in England, where he heard testimonies.

OVER ONE HOUR CRYING
Pamela Fenn remembers hearing the child uncontrollably crying
Madeleine parents never contradicted that it was already a habit for their three children to be all alone inside the Praia da Luz apartment while they dined; a fact corroborated by several witness statements - the Oceans Club employees.
Although the parents defended themselves by stating that they visited the children every half an hour, every night, the witness statement of neighbour Pamela Fenn crumbled the McCann couple's version, when she guaranteed to the PJ that she had heard Maddie crying out loud for one hour and fifteen minutes, two nights before the crime. The British woman lives at the first floor, just above the apartment rented by the McCanns and she told to the inspectors, that on the night of the 1st of May, at 22:30, she heard a child crying, and by the sound it was Madeleine.

She guaranteed to the Judiciary Police that the child was uncontrollably crying for one hour and fifteen minutes, until the parents arrived. The neighbour heard the noise of the door at 23:45, when Kate and Gerry ended their usual gathering with their friends at the Tapas Bar – the Oceans Club restaurant at the pool side, where they had dinner daily. This testimony contradicts the daily routine of visits that the couple declared to have with their children – and the McCanns are not free from criticism by another British woman. Yvonne Martin, a British Social Care worker on holiday in Luz, who also blamed the McCanns negligent behaviour.

The speculation surrounding the final report of the Maddie case would like to make one believe that the upcoming archival means the PJ have persecuted the child's parents without reason. This is a manipulated falsehood.

The final report of any process does not find innocence nor guilt. Doing this is beyond the reach of the PJ. Their responsibility is just to describe the facts and relationships with the people involved.

The report will narrate all the activities completed since the night of 3 May. It will tell which diligences were done, reveal the steps that took them to constitute as arguidos several players in this story. It will vigorously present the references for the searches, the tests, the diligences with the dogs, the activities done abroad to find the child, the news from the papers, the witnesses who directly or indirectly were involved in the case, the reconstitution of which so much was spoken and never was done. It will describe the facts.

The Public Ministry will have to say whether there was abandonment of minors, whether or not the process should continue with more diligences, or conversely, further develop the homicide theory or, finally, archive with no further delays.

PJ INVESTIGATES TRANSPORTATION

One of the slowest pieces of the investigation was to collect and analyse all information relative to possible means of transportation/escape, by land, sea or air. In addition, all the images collected from tourists on holidays at that time, but, once again, nothing was found. This information was all compiled in an appendix attached to the process, with another containing just information on those suspected of sexual crimes. The PJ also created a dossier of all individuals with a history of violent crimes, with their lives being examined to the tiniest detail. It was important to determine if they could have had any connection with the abduction.

VESTIGES: DELAYS
The vestiges collected in the McCann's car were collected in August 2007. The test results should only have taken a few weeks.

Missing Madeleine McCann could not have been abducted, Portuguese police are said to have concluded.

The final police report suggests the youngster died in the family's holiday apartment in Praia Da Luz on the Algarve, it was claimed.

Police have no evidence the youngster's parents, Gerry and Kate McCann, were involved in the disappearance of their daughter on May 3 last year.

The couple, who strongly deny having a hand in her possible death, say they last saw Madeleine when they left the three-year-old sleeping in the flat while they went out for dinner.

But an exhaustive 13-month investigation showed it was 'theoretically impossible' the youngster was abducted, the newspaper Correio da Manha said.

Forensic tests on the apartment's window, through which an abductor might have carried Madeleine, revealed no traces of the girl.
The McCanns, both 40-year-old doctors from Rothley, Leicestershire, were made suspects in the case in September. They were unavailable for comment.

Madeleine McCann case
PJ gelooft dat Kate McCann haar dochter doodde.

Madeleine is mogelijk door geweld om het leven gekomen. Maar ze kan ook om het leven zijn gekomen door een ongeval, nadat ze een slaapmiddel had gekregen. Dit is de overtuiging van de PJ die gelooft dat Kate haar dochter heeft gedood, bewust of ten gevolge van een ongeval. Er zijn geen zekerheden, maar slechts aanwijzingen die wijzen naar de moeder van Madeleine. Om haar gedrag in het algemeen en om hoe zij zich gedroeg t.o.v. haar dochters verdwijning, in de lijkgeur en het forenisch bewijs dat is verzameld door de technische recherche.

Kate kwam zichtbaar buiten zichzelf voor het verhoor aan bij de Policia Judiciaria op donderdag. De politie waarmee CM contact heeft gehad verklaart dat zij meerdere hysterische reacties vertoonde gedurende het meer dan 13 uur durende verhoor.
Ze op veel vragen geweigerd te antwoorden. Ze heeft niet verklaard hoe het bloed dat is gevonden in de auto daar is gekomen en ze heeft niet geantwoord op de vraag of zij haar dochter in het gezicht heeft geslagen, noch op de vraag of zij slaapmiddelen gaf aan haar kinderen.

Alleen de feiten zijn zeker voor de PJ. En de feiten onthullen dat Kate degene is die gewoonlijk zorgde voor de kinderen, ze naar bed bracht, terwijl Gerry tenniste of bij het zwembad lag. De verklaring van de Britse Pamela Fenn die in het appartement boven de McCanns woont wijst erop dat Kate soms agressief was. Ze verloor haar controle en het geschreew van het meisje om haar vader was duidelijk te horen. Een andere Britse getuige bevestigt dit scenario. Kate leek momenten van agressie te hebben naar haar kinderen toe terwijl de vader, meestal afwezig, meer in controle leek te zijn.
Kate sprak deze verdenkingen tegen en het was op dat moment dat de gerechtelijke omstandigheden van moord door verwaarlozing aan haar werden uitgelegd. CM is ervan op de hoogte dat de onderzoekers aan haar uitlegden dat als zij geen ongeluk zou bekennen ze de deur openzette voor een meer serieuze aanklacht. d.w.z. dat de zaak niet meer behandeld zou worden als verwaarlozing en zou overgaan tot een misdaadzaak.

Gerry vertoonde eveneens vreemd gedrage gedurende de ondervraging. Toen hij werd geconfronteerd met de verdenkingen van de PJ, vroeg hij herhaaldelijk naar het bewijs. Hij ontkende niet de feiten maar probeerde erachter te komen of de autoriteiten genoeg bewijzen had om de moordtheorie te bewijzen.

Maar voor de PJ is er nog een andere vreemde situatie. Als het een ongeluk was, waarom hebben de McCanns het lichaam laten verdwijnen en een ontvoering gesimuleerd. De mogelijkheid dat zij iets meer verbergen dan een gedachteloze actie of ongeluk is aanwezig en de onderzoekers wachten op het verdere onderzoek dat de dood van het meisje zal verklaren. Daarna zullen zij voortgaan met een formele aanklacht voor moord en verbergen van een lijk

The Judiciária completely discarded the possibility that Murat was involved in an abduction.

Apart from that, members of the GNR and Ocean Club employees guaranteed that they never saw Murat on the first days of the searches, contradicting the English and Maddie's parents.

Ik heb alleen herhaald wat hier in de krant stond en dat was letterlijk dat als de zaak gearchiveerd wordt, ze van hun status als arguido worden ontheven en inzicht kunnen krijgen in het dossier. Het is dus geen persoonlijke noot.

MADELEINE McCann’s parents are planning a big bucks interview with US chatshow queen Oprah Winfrey to boost their search fund.

It is understood Oprah, 54, would be willing to break the bank for a cosy chat with Kate and Gerry.

Up to now the couple have resisted offers to appear on celebrity chatshows but they are considering Oprah after the fund set up to find Madeleine plunged to £500,000 – less than half the original amount donated by the public.

Along with private eyes’ bills, the cash has been spent on poster and advertising campaigns appealing for information about Madeleine and running an website.

The McCanns, who still haven’t been officially cleared, sparked controversy when they dipped into the fund twice last year to fund mortgage payments on their home in Rothley, Leics.

The couple’s spokes-man Clarence Mitchell has admitted the couple need to top it up to maintain the hunt for their five-year-old daughter.

Earlier this week police agreed to let the McCanns, both 40, see 81 witness statements taken after Madeleine vanished from their holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal, in May 2007.

De Portugese politie merkte Murat en Madeleines ouders aan als verdachten in de zaak, maar heeft het onderzoek inmiddels beëindigd. Ook de McCanns kregen eerder al een aanzienlijke schadevergoeding toegewezen vanwege lasterlijke krantenberichten.

in een vrijgegeven e-mail uit het afgesloten dossier van de verdwenen Madeleine McCann maakt gewag van een "Belgisch pedofielennetwerk" dat een foto van Maddie gepresenteerd kreeg en het meisje "geschikt" vond.

Dat melden enkele Britse media vadaag, ondermeer Sky News, The Daily Telegraph en The Independent. Het meisje zou drie dagen voor haar verdwijning gevolgd zijn in mei 2007.

De bewuste e-mail zou op 4 maart verstuurd zijn door een officier van de Metropolitan Police in Londen naar de politie van Leicestershire, de streek waar Maddie woonde. Vandaar is de e-mail meer dan een maand later naar de Portugese onderzoekers gestuurd.

In die bewuste mail zegt de politieman dat "onderzoeksgegevens aanwijzen dat een pedofielennetwerk in België een order heeft geplaatst voor een jong meisje, drie dagen voor de verdwijning van Madeleine... Iemand die met dat netwerk in verbinding stond, heeft een foto genomen en die naar België gestuurd. De 'koper' vond Maddie 'geschikt' en het meisje werd ontvoerd."

Volgens The Daily Telegraph heeft de Portugese politie nadien Interpol gevraagd de zaak te onderzoeken. Maar in de vrijgegeven stukken is hierop geen vervolg te vinden.

Maddie-spotters

Maddie werd zogezegd in Tongeren gespot in Tongeren, maar dat bleek om een misverstand te gaan. Ook vandaag komt het bericht van een dame die Maddie in Amsterdam zou hebben gezien. Hannie Wiechmann, een gepensioneerde dame, zei dat ze Maddie heeft gezien in Amsterdam enkele dagen nadat ze verdween in Portugal. Volgens Hannie was het haar van Maddie geverfd en geknipt, zodat ze er slecht gekapt uitzag met enkele rosse lokken. "Maar die ogen... ik wist dat zij het was."

Het dossier van de verdwijning van Maddie werd enkele weken afgesloten bij gebrek aan aanwijzingen, de ouders worden niet meer verdacht van betrokkenheid bij haar verdwijning.

Op zich is dat niet zo vreemd, want dat is altijd al geweest.

Geen idee russel, het verhaal van de vrouw is dat een klein brunette meisje naar haar toe kwam. Met de vraag "where are my parents" de vrouw vraagt: "staan ze daar niet".
En het kind antwoord: "no they took me"

Desondanks heeft de vrouw het kind terug gegeven..... Wat wij me onwaarschijnlijk lijkt, ze had beter de politie gebeld om het even te checken. Ouders zouden niet fijn vinden maar wel begrijpen denk ik. Verder is het wel weer een verhaal na de eerste maddie opduikingen. Geen idee

Het andere zou een parkingbewaker ze op band hebben gezien. Maar nu is het weer stil maar ik hoop dat ze toch blijven zoeken. Belgisch pedo netwerk is natuurlijk groot.....

Deze informatie is afkomstig uit het zgn. Shrimpton dossier: een dossier dat inmiddels ontmaskerd is als vals. Op enkele vast feiten na bevat het verhaal grotendeels fictie.

Redenen waarom dit het Shrimpton rapport als nep wordt geacht, wordt hieronder gegeven.
Het gaat vooral om de schrijftrant, waaruit geconcludeerd wordt dat het niet om een intelligentierapport gaat.
De auteur van het rapport heeft teveel fantasie gebruikt en dat is tegelijkertijd het manco. Sommige delen ervan komen overeen met delen van rapporten uit de tweede wereldoorlog die je kunt googlen op internet.
De advocaat "Michael Shrimpton" die wordt genoemd als opdrachtgever voor het onderzoek, heeft afstand genomen van het rapport.
Het bericht dat wel enige reele feiten bevat, is voornamelijk fictie en sommige delen van het rapport komen overeen met delen van rapporten uit de tweede wereldoorlog die je kunt googlen op internet.
Wat de schrijver met het rapport voor had, is niet duidelijk
En dan idd. het motief. Waarom zou men een Engels kind in Portugal ontvoeren, naar Duitsland transporteren, terwijl er in Duitsland en het Oostblok genoeg (ook blonde) kinderen zijn waar niemand om geeft. Een Portugees, Duitse, Amerikaanse (Bush) Nazi Duitsland U-boot connectie? Mij wat teveel van het goede (of verkeerde)
Een aantal elementen uit het rapport duiken steeds weer in iets andere vorm weer op. Erg hardnekkig.

De laatste stand van zaken:
- de zaak is geseponeerd wegens onvoldoende bewijs. De McCanns zijn "verdachte af" omdat de termijn is vertreken dat zij deze status kunnen hebben zonder aanklacht. Dit zegt niets over hun betrokkenheid bij de verdwijning (net zoals dat bij Joran v.d. Sloot in de zaak Holloway het geval is)

Inmiddels zijn de gegevens uit de politieonderzoeken vrijgegeven aan advocaten aan de pers en druppelde dat de laatste tijd door op de diverse internetfora.

Het bewijs dat de Portugezen hebben tegen de McCanns:
- de bevindingen van de honden Eddie en Keela, waarvan filmpjes op het internet. Overigens zijn deze facinerend. zie:

Let wel: dat de kadaverhond Eddie markeerde op dezelfde plaats als waar de "bloed"hond Keela het bloedspoor vond zegt wel iets.
Het bloedspoor was gedesintegreerd doordat het appartement schoongemaakt was en was zo klein dat het met tegel en al moest worden opgestuurd naar het Lab in Birmingham, waar men maar 5 DNA markers kon identificeren (een individu heeft er 19). Wel kwamen al deze vijf markers overeen met het DNA van Madeleine.
Naast het appartement van de McCanns zijn nog 40 appartementen/woningen door de honden onderzocht waaronder dat van Murat. Daar werden geen aanwijzingen gevonden.

De kadaverhond Eddie pikte de auto van de McCanns uit 10 auto's die in de garage voor onderzoek geparkeerd stonden. Kofferbak en autosleutels. De "bloed"hond Keela vond daarop een minuscuul bloedspoor aan de onderkant van het afdektapijt van het reservewiel in de kofferbak. Uit DNA onderzoek bleek dat 15 van de DNA markers overeenkwamen met het DNA van Madeleine. Dit is voldoende om dit conclusief te noemen en dat waren ook de eerste berichten. In het eindrapport echter, concludeerde het FSS lab dat niet duidelijk was of er sprake was van een echte match of een kans match, d.w.z. dat niet duidelijk was hoeveel mensen hadden bijgedragen aan het spoor dat was gevonden. Sommige markers waren vrij algemeen en komen bij meer mensen voor o.a. bij enkele lab medewerkers. Conclusie was dat het spoor besmet zou kunnen zijn en dus niet voor 100% gezegd kon worden dat het om Madeleines DNA ging. Een wetenschappelijke conclusie.

De politie en het OM zijn ervan overtuigd dat Madeleine is overleden, maar kunnen betrokkenheid van de ouders niet bewijzen.

Inmiddels wordt het boek van ex politie coordinator Amaral in diverse landen gepubliceerd met bijbehorende publiciteit. McCanns hebben gedreigd met een rechtszaak en Amaral heeft zij daartoe verschillende malen "uitgenodigd". Hij ziet een rechtszaak graag tegemoet, omdat dat betekent dat de McCanns dan vragen MOETEN beantwoorden die ze nooit hebben willen beantwoorden.
Tot nu toe blijft het op dat vlak vrij stil.
Ook lijkt de zoektocht naar Madeleine op dit moment op een laag pitje te staan. Het geld in het fonds is er nagenoeg doorheen gejaagd aan kosten voor prive detectives en advocaten

Het blijft dat de ouders ontkennen dat er bloed kan zijn in het huis (van welk van hun kinderen dan ook), en daarom klopt hun verhaal al niet, want dat bloed is er, punt.
En ik blijf er bij dat ze zich toendertijd versproken hebben met "als Maddie ernstig gewond zou zijn geweest ..." en "de politie heeft ons daar niks van verteld" op de vraag of ze zich misschien bezeerd had. Het kon om een kras op de knie gaan, en zij komen aan met "ernstig gewond". Waar komt zoiets vandaan dan? En wat heeft de politie te maken met een vraag over huiselijke ongelukjes?

Hoe dan ook, het is duidelijk, er ontbreekt alleen wettelijk bewijs. De kranten staan hier nog regelmatig vol, er was in Jornal de Noticias nog een goed stuk, maar ik houd me niet meer echt met de zaak bezig. Vandaar dat ik niet meer heb gepost. Het is allemaal herkauwen.

Ik weet t niet. Ik heb toch nog wel af en toe zo het idee, dat het allemaal nog wel uitkomt.
Die politieman Amaral gaat nu zijn boek publiceren in Engeland en de McCanns dreigen steeds met rechtszaken, maar tot op heden hebben ze niets gedaan.
En Amaral lijkt ze uit te dagen. Want dan heeft hij ze eindelijk in de rechtszaal en zullen ze met de billen bloot moeten. Daar zitten ze niet op te wachten. Dus blijft het bij dreigementen. Ik ben nog steeds benieuwd. Er klopt zo veel aan de zaak niet.
Net als bij Joran v.d. Sloot. Je weet dat ze erbij betrokken zijn, maar onvoldoende wettelijk bewijs voor een veroordeling. Frustrerend gewoon.
