Het cradle bit is een myler bit trouwens
Is ontwikkeld samen met myler, met een paar aanpassingen hier en daar zodat het beter bij het trainingssysteem van parelli zou passen.
Citaat:
Myler Bits® Essentially Sheila, they are the same in basic function--they both use chin/nose/poll pressure before the mouthpiece engages. And the C3 is the 33 mouthpiece. The C2 is the 43LP, the C1 is the 04. Here are a couple differences: the Parelli cradle has the rein hook inside the big ring, so you don't get quite the same degree of rein engagement that you do with a standard combination bit. The standard combo bit, however, does not add significant leverage because the purchase (cheekpiece above the mouthpiece) is actually as long or longer than the "shank" (cheekpiece below the mouthpiece). Also, the mouthpiece on the standard Combo slides on the big ring, whereas the mouthpiece on the Parelli C2 and C3 cradles are fixed for a more solid feel (the C1 slides). And finally, the noseband and chin straps are different in design. The cradle bit has a braided noseband and knotted chin strap to simulate the feel of the knotted rope halter that Parelli-trained horses are used to. The standard combo bit has flat leather noseband with a knot on each end, and a synthetic curb strap. The Parelli cradles are basically Myler combination bits designed for the intensive Natural Horsemanship program that the Parellis developed for training.
