Back to the chip.
The passport is Dutch. That is something whe know.
The chip isn't Dutch? (There are chipnumbers that start with 98, but that are "friezen" and that is no 9811 but 9851)
Can it be a chip from Belgium than? Is there someone who knows this things?

There are lists with numbers from different countries, but the number 8 is the last in row and Mickeys chipnumber starts with an 9.
So that doesn't take us further, but there must be someone at bokt from Belgium who can tell us if this could be a chipnumber from Belgium? Maybe that person can also take a look at the database in Belgium?

i brought mickey for £2800 pounds that 3533 euros .

when i brought him he was ribbie he had he hips sticking out he was not like a rspca horse by know means just lean.

he was white when we brought him and he had hes winter coat.
ive emailed holst and they have not got back to me i even sent a photo of him.

he jurgen has got back to me and he confirms that mickey was took to him by deruyck for an passport.
but thats all he can tell me.

The thing i don't understand is, why doesn't he have a equipas?
Why go all the way to Holland to get a passport?

Can it be that Mickey is from Holland and needed a passport fast to cross the border straightaway?

The chip number looks to come from Belgium.
I have two registrated Belgian horses and there chipnumbers begin with 9811 and 9851.
Those chips were placed by the same vet in 2007.

So it wil be a Belgian chipnumber. If the horse was born in Belgium, it can always be registrated in another country. My own horse was born here in Belgium and is registrated at the BWP, KWPN and Studbook Zangersheide. So that's no problem.

A few pages ago, someone ask what this number could be. 04.1075

It looks like a number used by the BWP for horses from different breeds registrated to the BWP.

The chipnumber is from Belgium, so normaly the horse has to be registrated at the national agency. Maybe you can call them and ask for the information about the chipnumber corresponding horse.

I have send an e-mail to the BWP and Vlaco to see if they can tell Gail something more about his chipnumber.

Isn't it so that a horse thats chiped in Belgium, must be regestrated in Belgium as well?
I mean, the vet that chiped the horse, also notes the chip somewhere isn't it?

A horse can be chipped in Belgium and has a passport from a studbook from another country.

But the chip has to be registrated in Belgium at the agencies mentioned above. But a registrated chip does not mean a studbook passport. From july 2007, every horse has to have a passport in Belgium. Before that day, a horse could be chipped without a passport.

ive just emailed him and sent pictures and passport info so im hopping it jogs his memory and he can tell me a bit more.
i have everything crossed i find out more just waiting for reply .
your all stars i want you all to keep up the good work and if your ever over my way in england youll have to come and visit me and mickey

By car, he lives 'bout 20 minutes from my house. So, it's really not far.

I also put an ad in the horse shop in Kluisbergen and translate it in French. There are many people in Kluisbergen who speak French.

They can not help you, because they don't have data from Mickey.
(it means that they don't know Mickey)

hi ive just had an email from sigrid and said hes friend thinks she seen micky advertised on marktplaza.be in west flaanderen in november.
i have looked in the adverts and there is only a 9 year old stallion ,which is not mickey .,on there would any of you seen him on that site.
and sigrid said hes friend was going to ring up and deruyck brought the horse.

my friend rang up dirk de ruick to let him now that there was a horse for sale in his region advertised on marktplaza.be ....and if he could check out and buy that horse....my friend tipped him on this horse....

a few weeks later he called her and said he bought the horse...

i showed you picture of your horse and she said that it is the same horse as she saw advertised...

thats what a meant....

Gail, try to remember that we are Dutch people trying to read your englisch words. If you write with so many mistakes as you do in the message above Sigrid, then it's difficult for us to read and understand.

Does your friend remember some of the words in that ad?
Maybe whe can find that ad somewhere.

ja advertentie met foto...

zij heeft dirk de ruick gecontacteerd via de telefoon en/of email om hem op de hoogte te stellen van een schimmel ruin die te koop stond. prijs was 1500 euro zei zij...wat wel overeenkomt met de verkoopprijs..aan ts.

paar weken later belde/mailde dirk haar terug en vertelde dat hij de schimmel had gekocht, dit was omstreeks nov (begin dec) 2007.

de ts maakt het er niet duidelijker op met haar berichten..want ze heeft mijn pb in goed engels dus ook verdraaid...en niet duidelijk op dit topic gezet, daarom reageerde ik zelf hier ook maar....want het was heel onduidelijk..

Ik weet ook dat dirk de ruick niet zo gesteld is over telefoontjes over paardne die hij verkocht heeft....dus ben bang dat hij neit zovele info gaat geven,.die man heeft tdruk en voor deze dingen heeft hij geen tijd..denk ik...

@amigotje...wij hebben geen contact opgenomen met dirk de ruick betreffende dit paard...

voor de rest ben ik hier ook wel klaar mee...

@Gail..if you want to really find out the past of your horse....i bet the horse has no pedigree...previous owners is maybe good to have contact with.

You have to get your fact right...and not assume so much...
