DNA doesn't help. It can prove parenting, but if you don't have the parents for match blood, it doesn't help.

He could well be Spanisch or Portuguese, imported by some Belgian trader, sold on to some Dutch trader, who had the passport made and put the name of the Belgium trader as breeder.

Just contact everybody invloved (mentioned in the passport) and see what you get, but there really can't be any pedigree with this horse or it would have been worth a lot more. He could, actually, even be Italian. There are a few breeds of his type. He looks a lot like a Salernitano. He looks like a very common southern horse. Could have been bred in any backyard, really. And someone must have sold it cheap to some foreigner.

Actually, his gaits will give away if he is and Iberian horse. They often go with a lot of knee action.
He doesn't seem to have enough neck to be Iberian.

when mickey came over he only had a chest infection but that was through travelling hes been checked by vet sound all over. what i mean about hes teeth is he has still got baby teeth not been filed at all.

He looks like an immature horse overall. This is also typical for southern horses, that look only mature when they are 5-6 years old or older, reason why they hardly ever approve them for breeding before that age.

He is heavy so if he is really 4 years old, i don't think he can be a KWPNer, i also don't see a COB in hem if it means WelshCOB, It could be a "gelders type" or a "tuiger" but i also don't really think so.

I think he looks somewhat like a Lusitano. But thats only from pictures i have seen, so i don't know.
He could be a spanisch or potuguese horse, you say?
If he is, than he does not have to be born there, he can also been born in the netherlands, or somewhere else?

What is a Salernitano?

If this is a spanisch horse without papers, what price is normal for them then, do you know that Lusitana?

It looks like the right front flexor tendon is a little bowd. Is that right? that can mean he has an old tendon problem.

if got a horse (mixure of different breeds) whoms is 5 and a bit
and tjust started to change the last lower teeth (the last 4)the first
fel out i think a month ago ..
he has 1 little dot showing
of a stallion tooth (do not know how you call that in englisch)
the others arnt there yet .. theet are indication
they do not al go by the book Bloos

Do you have more pictures of Mickey Gail?
A picture of himself with nobody riding him.
Maybe a picture from the front of his head?

1) maybe whe can see more about his build/race
2) Maybe someone looks in this topic and knows him from the pictures, you never know.

I'm reading for two days and following the progress of the big search. It seems that some things are clear now, but most of it is still surrounded by big fog.

About the teeth: I was once at a seminar of a horse dentist and she told that the first time a horse looses his teeth is around age 2,5. Then a year later, when the horse is 3,5 he looses the next and again a year later he looses the last at age 4,5 or sometimes 5 years old. It starts with the biggest teeth in the middle.

After 8 years is much more diffucult to give an exact age. It's al about guessing than.

And I was thinking, maybe he's a Kladruber??

Because of his colour, long back and round profile (ramsneus)
Could be wrong of course, I'm just guessing.

I could it be possible that he's not from Spain of Italy but eastern Europe? It's an interesesting case.

have had the chip checked against the horse and it is correct. so this is hes chip number.ive tryed ring numbers on passport but never ring out.

You have to contact the adress what's in de middle right of the page. They know where the horse come's from but as far as I can see the first owner was Diruyck so you have to contact him.

As said, the colour what's on the paper is not right, is say's chestnutgray and he's not chestnut, maybe when he was a filly but then Diruyck has to know who te parent's are or where he came from.

Did you already said how high he is? Are you sure he don't has a brand or number at the inside of his lips?

Its is possible that the "roodschimmel" is just a bad translation of "rosilho" or similar word. There are greys that indeed start out with chestnut hairs in the coat. Roans don't go grey, but greys do.
He might, actually, just be a Belgian draught cross.

Actually, this is the first KNOWN owner. Since the passport was from this year, the horse probably had other owner(s) before this one, but that was never registered, or that information was lost.

tryed contacting this address but things keep bouncing back contacted person on passport he says he as 70 horses in and carnt remember them.

yes had him vetted

as advised earlier .. get second opinion ..
slaugther horses are frequently sold to the uk
sometimes with something wich could cure with time
sometimes they seems a bit better when there finaly across
because of the rest period
but then there could be a old ingery wich could come back
with hard training/ work or something like that Cool

so to prefent tears please get a second thorough second opinion

i think no one of us (1 acception) beleves he is 3 yrs of age
personaly think rather 9 or 12 ..

a couple of us seem to remember this horse
i think to have seen hime before , do not know were yet
think on a horse handlers side ..

Hmmm have you sent a pic of him to his previous owner? But then again, if he constantly buys and sells horses and has about 70 horses now, I can imagine he can't remember them all... Shame really.
I just think it's strange that he doesn't keep records from all these horses.
Kluisbergen isn't that far away from me, about 25 km and I go to a horse shop there, I could ask the owner there if she's heard about this person before.

I will ask a moderator if this pictures can be moved to the first page, so that everyone who looks in this topic can see hem right away.
I really don't think that to contact mister Deruyck will help.

If your vets say that Mickey is 3 or 4 years old, then he is 3 or 4 years old.
It also means that there has to be someone that had this horse from 2004/2005 till 2008.
He didn't just came falling out of the sky Tong uitsteken

His passport tells you that Mickey is from Belgium?
Then i think, the best thing to do is, to look for people from Belgium, if they know Mickey from somewhere.

he is a lovely boy he is working nicely he is quick to learn and i love him all i want is for someone to find hes mummy and ill be happy but if we carnt then that ok ill still love him the same the vets that have seen him have said hes teeth have not been messed about with hes a white horse he does have some chestnut flecks on his bum which are hard to see without getting close to him.

Gail, you say that Mickey came to you as a skinny horse?
How skinny? Really skinny, like he hasn't had enough food, or ....
That could give us an indication of where to look.
Really skinny horses, often come from a market.
