it might be a possibility to buy them overseas
new or even secondhand might be an option, though there might still be importtaxes on the items when they are secondhand , it depends if they pick your parcels at the airport
at least that is how it goes here in the netherlands...
they make you pay taxes over secondhand importgoods...amazing country this is

about the saddles themselves... i am a big stübbenfan, i like the open form of most of the brands saddles..seat not to deep, but still just the right amount of support (i utterly hate deep restricting seats)
quality wise stübben is great , i am riding around on a stübben saddle (an ancient siegfried) that is at least 30 years old...and it looks fabulous, leather is still in great form
it is good to go for another 30 years at least

the only thing weither or not you might regret the purchase of a stubben is , are you comfortable on it , or not....

I have the Stubben Edelweiss CS Deluxe and I think it's a very comfortable saddle, perfect leather. But that's a privat.

Morning everyone, (8.10am here - or good evening there Haha! )

Thanks for carrying on with the posts it makes for great "catup reading"

The websites and second hand trading places within New Zealand never come up with second hand Stubberns, I suppose thinking about it that would be a good thing as people then hang onto the saddles.

I suppose it there are stubbern's out that there that are still being ridden on 30+ years later thats got to be a good thing.

I thought about it overnight, and after reading the posts as well it sounds as though I really can't go wrong with stubbern in general, I might ask if I can grab the saddle and try it out over the weekend, then make my final decision early in the week.

I'll tell you what the final outcome is. Haha!
