Citaat:I personally know Jack Donahue for many years while I lived in Deland and Deleon Springs. My daughter and I spent many years there with the training of our beautiful Arabian horses which we have purchased from Mr. Donahue. He has never abused any of his horses and they were always in top condition, vetted, fed, farrier work done, you name it. Many many people have purchased his Arabian horses, as he used to tell us, he raised people horses. Many of our children practically grew up there and learned all about the horses, and watched as his mares would have their babies. What an education they recieved. Many went on to ride in very prestigious horse shows from Ocala to Perry, Ga. I have purchased 3 of his wonderful horses in the years that I knew him. He would never let any of his animals suffer and if he has fallen upon hard times that would be the only reason for these horses to be underweight. If I still lived in Deleon Springs (I have sinced moved out of the state) I would have taken some of his horses and put them on my property to help him out until better times came. I can't thank Mr. Donahue and Debbie King enough for everything they taught my daughter and I.
I hope the courts are understanding, the horse business is a tough one and with the economy being the way it is I'm sure no one is knocking down the doors to purchase large animals.
As we horse owners know, the cheapest thing about owning a horse...........is the price you paid for it.
God Bless Mr. Donahue and all his beautiful Arabians. I only wish I could help him now................
