Dear Tsjech Guests,

and in this case, aspeccially Grannah.
I have never had an e-mail, some-one asking to use pictures of my horse in a game.
Probably I would have said yes. But under certain conditions. No pictures with people on them. I just don't want to see my face anywhere. And no pictures which are copyrighted by photographers.

Here we have a lot of foto-meetings. The horse-owners dont't pay for this. The -sometimes profesional- photographers use the pictures they take for their portfolio.
The conditions of these free fotoshoots are mostly simple. You get a lot of nice pictures of your horse, small size and copyrighted. These pictures are okay to use on bokt or facebook, but to small to print. The horse-owner is allowed to show the pictures on a digital forum. But they must be Copyrighted at al times. And the horse-owner is NOT allowed to modify the pictures.We almost always name the photographer in our topica.
The photographer can use the pictures for their portfolio.
If a horse-owner wants the pictures at al larger scale, he or she pays for this.

So this is how we get a lot of nice pictures of our horses. It would be very unplaesant for the horse-owners if the photographers don't want to do this anymore, because they find their pictures, sometimes modified, at places where the horse-owners did not ask permission for at the photographer.

I one of you would ask me to Use Tweety AKA Lancelot for this game, I would choose some pictures I'am okay with to use.
But then again, It has to be asked first.

you know what pissed me of in the first place? I came on web and there's so much messages in our world. about this thing. then massages from people who are ending. That's too much for me, that's it.

I followed this topic a long time to see were it would end. I think all photographers in this topic agree with me when I say; Thanks for deleting the photo's!
We really appreciate your efforts and I found it very brave that some of you actually reacted in this topic. Some of us were pissed of by the way it had happened, and it takes some courage to admit that you took (let's not calling it stealing for one time) some photo's. So thanks again! +:)+

The reason photographers AND horse owners don't like it when pictures are stolen (not only on foreign sites) is that they don't know what's going to happen with the pictures.
The photographers are making money by taking picture's of other horses. When people like you take them without asking or without letting them know you took them, leaves them very pissed of when they find out. They don't know if you're going to sell their picture's. For example; you take an amazing picture and after a couple weeks you discover that someone spread it over the internet. Wouldn't you be angry?

So, if she mean "the horses die", she mean that she delete your photos, but in her website it will looks like the horses die (only in the virtual world). I hope, you understand it. The photos you used, don't belong to you. They belong to the people who made these photos.
When we (by we I mean the photographers, and the owners of the photos) find our photos on the internet we get a bit angry. Because, someone stole our photos! Especially when it is on a foreign site, where we don't understand a word of your language we don't know what the purpose is and why our photos are on this site. Some people said the photos are sold on this site. Luckily, that was not the issue.
You were playing a game and you used our photos for that.
So, we don't want our photos on the internet without us knowing about it and without us giving permission for it, do you understand?
So it's sad to hear that some people actually quit the game because of it, because you can easily delete the photos and ask for permission to use photos and than everything will be fine!

So if you find photos of a horse that you would like to use, contact the owner of this horse (or other animal) or the person who took the picture. Photographers usually have a copyright on their photos, with their name so it is easy to google.
Just ask for our permission! If you don't get any response, the answer is NO. Don't use the photos, unless the person who made the picture gave you permission to use them.
