I caught Sweetie reading Sis's book on baking that baby. Something about has a filly in there & can not have that baby on a stud day. You know that is how it seems to run. She knows her foster dad wants a filly and sometimes those bake a little longer. What is that joke.. takes a little longer to add a brain than a kickstand. She is still early and at 323 days now. Her hormones got ahead of the baby. It will come out when it is ready.

With all her driping we are getting IgG supplement for the baby. Want to make sure the immune system is good on it. Bruce went to Dr Doug's for that. She is not dripping real fast today so, will leave that choice up to Steve. It will be here incase we decide to give it.

If she lead better I would take her out for a fast walk. Since she does not, she will stay where she is. I am not going to trust her out on pasture.

Dang started this an hour ago & with the phone ringing it took me all this time! Hope you all have a great day!

She was due sat, oh well. There is probably a big stud colt in there. Just as long as it is a good easy birth and it is healthy, she is doing a lot of pacing this morning, hope she waits till I wake up a little moreyou all have a nice day now

Bij Macy is het licht weer uit en de cam dus ook Lachen

Ze had honger (as usual) en ik kreeg de singel voor het eerst zonder rare sprong om! Ze leert het nog wel...
Uier is wel iets voller geworden en er zat wat meer hars aan.
Weer vooruitgang dus, ik hoop dat het doorzet. Morgenochtend zal ik proberen weer een foto te maken van haar uier(tje).
Ze heeft vanavond aardig wat liggen slapen op stal, hopelijk heeft ze ook weer een rustige nacht *LOL*

A warm soft bed! Is where I am headed for now. Yep bed not the couch. Bruce is on chore duty and foal watch. He can fend for himself for supper.

See you all later.. get a nap in. Could be another long night! Mares.. gotta love them!

Oh.. still dripping milk. She has to give it up sometime!

Dit is de 323e dag dus als ze binnen nu en een uur dat veulen eruit poept, heeft het net zo lang geduurd als met Fleurtje (haar vorige veulen).
Zelf heb ik het idee dat het nog wel even duurt... Rolleyes

Het uier is nog lang niet vol genoeg en ook de banden zijn nog niet los genoeg.

Zoals ik het nu zie? RUIM!!!
Ik heb echt geen idee. Ze is zo anders dan de vorige drachten...
Tot nu toe heeft ze steeds een paar weken met een uier als een koe rondgelopen. Bij haar 1e dracht heeft ze ook erg lang van te voren staan harsen en daarna nog erg lang staan kegelen dus dat voorspelt wat... Gaaaap

Maar misschien probeert ze mij te foppen en krijgt ze ineens veel uier of krijgt ze pas veel uier NA het veulenen. Kan allemaal.

Dus gewoon Mare Stare Nerd

Op dit moment staat ze trouwens weer een muur tegen te houden. Wat hebben al die drachtige merries toch met een omvallende muur???

Poor Abby and Meg. Abby tried to go down several times but the activity level in the barn has been high. First the chores, then the feed man arriving, then the feed man getting his truck stuck in the yard, then Kirsten coming..it just NOW is starting to quiet down but not for long as soon afternoon chores will start. Abby has huge balls of wax on her teats and Meg has been butt grinding so hard she's rubbed some of her tail out. Abby will definitely go first.................I think. Do we ever really know? Kirsten's report...Dawn is ready to go and semen from Distinctive is ordered. Fingers crossed for tomorrow and that this old arm of mine makes a leopard filly. Make it just like this year's colt Dawn, only with indoor plumbing and I'll be REAL happy. Ruby had not as good news..an anovulatory hemorrhagic follicle which we will need to kick out. Rosie used to do that to me on occasion. That darn Ruby has been in a standing heat for I swear 6 weeks! UGH! But we can fix it. Precious was a bit of a concern as we noticed bloody discharge that didn't ring quite right with us. We suspect a tear in the muscousal lining ..no tears elsewhere..we checked. We'll wait the 30 days to breed her. I made the Mississippi Mud Cake. I'm on a diet but between Kirsten, John and Linda Hopper it got great reviews..other than the marshmallows made it a bit goey to eat. Well...at this point I am going to make another prediction. Not that I'm always on the money...but here I go anyhoo....Abby will go after afternoon chores...Meg - tonight or tomorrow. BUT...only the mares know for sure.
