Queen is wat pim wilde horen bij radio 3
moet je de teksten van queen eens doorlezen!
ze zijn zo geschreven dat het grootste deel allemaal betrekking heeft op het leven van pim.
Ik vind het trouwens erg mooie teksten!

Daarom ben ik ook al geruime tijd van Queen. De teksten betekenen echt iets.

Wat dacht je trouwens van who wants to live forever?
Of het liedje wat is geschreven naar Freddies dood: one by one (only the good die young)?

Allemaal erg mooi en zeker vaak toepasselijk in zulke vervelende situaties.

En dat prachtige nummer dat John Lennon schreef zal wel altijd een droom blijven ....

Songteksten kunnen idd zeer emotioneel en pakkend zijn en op het lijf geschreven.
Daarom zit je soms ook zo te janken bij muziek.

TJa muziek kan gevoel soms beter uiten dan woorden.
If tomorrow never comes.. van ronan keating is ook zo'n nummer!

Na de dodenherdenking werd ook 'Imagine' gedraaid (is geloof ik een gewoonte op de radio), een toepasselijkere tekst is er denk ik niet. Behalve de tekst word ik van dat nummer sowieso nogal stil.

'Fragile' van Sting is er ook zo een:

Queen heeft inderdaad veel mooie teksten, en veel gaan er over de dood aangezien Fredje Kwikzilver al een tijdje wist dat hij dood zou gaan. Maar goed, zelfs de Boheemse Rapsodie was goed in elkaar gezet.

Verder heeft bijna ieder artiest wel eens over de dood gezongn, dus dat is ook al niet zo vreemd. Ik vind persoonlijk dat Rush & Pink Floyd ook wel goed waren met woorden.

Overigens, als je eens wat echt ironisch wil horen, ik schakelde hier wat tussen zenders.. Kom ik dus tussen "Always look on the bright side" en Pim Fortuyn te zappen..

Bij Pink Floyd denk ik dan vooral aan Great gig in the sky (zoals op Pulse), misschien wel omdat er weinig woorden aan vuil worden gemaakt.
