Citaat:Thank you for response about Goffert 369. I had heard that Adel was going to go Grand Prix, but didn't realize he had gone already. We actually tried him a couple of years ago, so I am a little familiar with him. Is the other stallion Stefan approved? I am not familiar with him at all.
Goffert was purchased by Iron Spring Farm two years ago. I started riding
him (for them) almost exactly one year ago, and at that time he had only
competed through the light 4th level here, like Z2. In one year he has
learned everything from the GP, and has competed 4 times at Int. 2, winning every time. He is the most intelligent horse I have ever been around, and I think that is why he learned so fast. He always wants to know everything, and he thinks more like an intelligent dog, than a horse. The canter on him is excellent, and unlike many Friesians, he not only has no problems with the changes, but he prefers the one-tempis to anything else! The piaffe-passage will be extraordinary. At my last competition, which was our Regional Championships, he received 8's on both piaffes, and when he is confirmed at GP, I believe the piaffe-passage tour will be exceptional. As I have always ridden Warmbloods at this level, I am always so surprised at how easy this is for him, as that's usually where the struggle comes with the Warmbloods. I also have to say, that I have never had so much fun training and competing a horse in my life... he is such a personality to be around, and he makes such a strong connection to me when I am schooling him.... he is a very special animal.
Iron Spring Farm has chosen to freeze his semen, so he gets frozen in the
late fall, and perhaps again in the late spring, and that way he only misses
a few weeks in training, although I don't think it would make much
difference to him, as he is very easy to handle with the breeding, and
always wants to work.
I do not have a digital piaffe picture yet, but I am sending you one from
August, and would be happy to send you more from Florida. I am really
looking forward to putting together a freestyle with Mr. van Bruggen, as I
have heard from many people that he is the best! I think it will be a very
exciting thing to do with Goffert, as he is already such a crowd favorite.
Thank you so much for your interest in him. It is so nice when people
appreciate such special animals.
Best regards,
Belinda
