Citaat:Fred Mueller
Fred Mueller was born in the mid 1860’s in St. Louis, Missouri and died in 1924 in Denver, Colorado. His first shop was opened in 1891 at the historical address of 1415 Larimer Street, Denver, Colorado. It was located one block away from the West’s first Wells Fargo office. Mueller believed a cowboy should be able to do all of his shopping at one shop. In addition to saddles, chaps and gun rigs, he carried spurs, bits, hats, boots and anything else a cowboy would need for himself or his horse. Mueller sold the business to his employees in 1917 and the shop continued until the early 1950’s. Mueller was known for making a sturdy, dependable saddle.
Citaat:Dear Haarbal,
The Mueller saddle looks like it is from the 1940's and it looks like it was built on a Tipton style tree. That is about all I can tell from the photos. It was either ordered and shipped to Europe or someone took it home from the US.
I have attached some additional information on Mueller from my files.

Hi mr. Sherer.
I got your address from a Dutch westernriding forum. See, I bought a saddle, and had no idea whatsoever what kind of saddle it was. So I posted a message on said forum, asking if anyone knew anything about Fred Mueller westernsaddles. And I almost fainted when I read the moderator's answer.
See, I have serious doubts that my saddle is a genuine Fred Mueller. So I took pictures of it, and decided to send them to you. Can you tell me some more about my saddle? And what could it possibly be doing in Holland?
Thanks a lot!
