Wie kent de kwpn hengst zuidhorn
ik heb namelijk een afstammelig van hem en ik zou graag informatie of fotos van hem willen hebben

Wij hebben ook een Zuidhorn, uit een Emilion moeder. Zuidhorn is vorig jaar overleden, ik ben gaan zoeken naar meer info, maar kan het zo niet vinden. Mytens weet veel van hengsten, misschien kun je haar vragen naar de site.

Zuidhorn

Zuidhorn is the only approved son in the Netherlands of the great French-bred Le Val Blanc xx (by Val de Loir xx) who died in 1981, leaving behind a great number of top-class sport performers in various disciplines. On his dam's side, Zuidhorn comes from a strong Holsteiner lineage, the kind of solid stock that is so well matched with a thoroughbred. His dam "model preferent" Ritta, is a direct descendant of the "preferent" Sinaeda, a mare who produced no less than 17 approved sons, while her lineage appears in the pedigree of some 50 approved stallions.

Progeny
Zuidhorn has shown many fine products that received first premiums and/or became champions. His strong hereditary conformation capacity is demonstrated by the high percentage of "ster" premiums of his offspring. But apart from a good conformation, Zuidhorn also passes on his performance power. Many of his daughters completed their IBOP (mare performance test) with AA or A. Also in showjumping, Zuidhorn offspring have very good results. Three of his products were highly successful in the 1990 jumping competition for 4-year-olds in Utrecht, Everglade even winning the finals.

Zuidhorns are in great demand for dressage. Many of his offspring, both dressage horses and showjumpers, have been sold abroad.

Performance
At his proving test, Zuidhorn scored an impressive list of marks, with four nines and a 10 for his training report, making him the Champion of his year. All his gaits are rhythmical and balanced and he has great jumping capacity, with a smooth and skilful technique.

The jury considered Zuidhorn a stallion with enormous talents as a dressage, showjumping and military horse. In the 1985/86 season, Zuidhorn started in the stallion competition in dressage as well as showjumping, becoming third in the jumping category and second in dressage, which sufficiently confirms his brilliant qualities and versatility. He has reached Z-level jumping and ZZ-level dressage.

Hoi, als het goed is heeft mijn vriendin ook een jaarling hengst van Zuidhorn, het was iets met -horn in ieder geval en KWPN.
