Citaat:Ede, Augusth 11th, 2004
I am writing to enquire if there is an opportunity for me to follow a student traineeship at your company.
Since 2002 I have been a student at Academy Diedenoort where I study Facility Management. In February 2005 I have the opportunity to go abroad for a traineeship of six months.
The main objectives of this period are learning how to manage projects and events concerning Facility Management; develop, implement, evaluate and alter policy plans. Assignments can be for example in logistics, marketing, costs profits and financing.
I chose to write to your company because of your excellent international reputation in hospitality and your commitment towards your employees. This very much appeals to me, my personal perception of the world suits the mission statement of the hotel. Besides that, Waldorf=Astoria just ís New York, the city I fell in love with when I was there in September 2001. Therefore it would be a great experience for me to work for you.
My last traineeship was at the Rabobank Group, a Dutch bank, where I wrote a policy plan on purchasing. Besides my studies I have been able to gain experience in the work field itself by various jobs in support departments. My resume will provide you with further details. During that I have learned a lot about how an organisation works. I believe that this theoretical and practical knowledge will allow me to make a substantive contribution to your company.
I am enclosing a copy of my curriculum vitae, which gives you details of my qualifications and experience. On request I can also send you more information about my branch of study.
Thank you in advance for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you.
