Eric Bana (Black Hawk Down) stars as cocky scientist Dr. Bruce Banner, who is working with an experimental ray in a laboratory at the University of California, Berkley. When something goes awry with the experiment, Banner discovers that he suddenly possesses the tendency to transform into a giant green beast whenever he's triggered emotionally. Banner's monstrous alter-ego becomes known as "The Hulk" and he soon finds himself on the run from the United States military, led by General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross (Sam Elliott), who just happens to be the father of fellow scientist Betty Ross (Jennifer Connelly), the love of David's life. As his military pursuers close in on him, Banner unexpectedly encounters a malicious villain that only The Hulk can defeat.
