I utterly adore this foalie and mare! We so desperately wanted a filly version but he is such a smashing colt and great character I cannot be annoyed, I just have to hope that next year it is a filly version ha ha ha

Stunning! It's rather amazing to see the difference in quality in this breed between the UK and the Netherlands. I've seen many pictures of other wonderfully bred horses, posted and owned by you. You shouldn't be bothered by receiving a colt, this little bloke will turn out to be a great stallion! Congrats!

Thank you all for your very kind words - hopefully he will grow up to be a great stallion. We certainly think he has stallion potential despite only being a day old (and less than that in those photos). He will be for sale though as we already have his full brother as a stallion now 5 years old! A filly would have been nice as could have stayed. We sold the last filly the mare had to The Netherlands hoping that we would get another in time and so far have had colts! But as you say, when they are good quality, healthy and alive the gender and colour does not matter.
